Placements: We do get lots of information and chances to know about different companies that will hold the placement, but for Bachelors in CA itself, we are not provided with that good amount of placements compared to other courses. It changes after completing Masters too in this field.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure is very good of our college. Everything is exceptional and no complaint on this term. SMIT is very much recommended for its infrastructure and all available facilities it provides to students. Wi-Fi is provided to every classes, or mess, or hostel, or anywhere you go in college. Library is extraordinary with large and maintained infrastructure.
Faculty: Exam curriculum is extreme and rules and regulations for it strictly followed. Teachers are competent and semester exam is likewise hard to pass if you're not good in the subject. Teachers are qualified and examination held is very much looked to and checked upon. As a BCA student, I have studied many subjects that will help me in my field along with programming languages, like business studies and accounting, data Science etc.
Other: BCA is one of the IT sector courses that gives a vague knowledge and idea about coding and programming languages, this is the reason I chose BCA. Coming to smit, for this course has indeed been a great decision. But a thing I would want this course to upgrade on is, rather than going through just basics of each programming language, we should be able to handle some of the high level programming problem as well, which extremely hard with just the knowledge of BCA.

Everything in SMIT is good.
Placements: Almost 75% of students get placed. In my course, 60% of the students got internships and some of them went for higher studies. The average salary was about 4 Lacs and 8 Lacs was the highest salary offered for my course. Students are placed in Microsoft, Amazon and IBM from our college.
Infrastructure: There are labs for each department. Wi-Fi is provided and also the projectors are there in each classroom for digital learning. The hostel's infrastructure is very good and also include a mess. Most importantly the electricity and water facilities provided are excellent because of its 24hrs service and also we get hot water during winter for drinking and general-purposes too.
Faculty: Teachers in the department have years of experience in the academic and also the industrial experience which helps the students. They encourage student and give the abstract view of the future which helps the student to be well prepared so that they can break the obstacles with a calm and stable mind.
Other: Our college offers almost every scholarship provided by the Central and Sikkim government. Also, there are many technical, sports and musical fests conducted in our college which helps students to progress in extracurricular activities too.

The college is good as compared to other colleges in our state.
Placements: I don't know much about the placement opportunities as I am a fresher. But I have heard that the placement opportunities are good. The big companies like Amazon, Wipro, etc. visit our campus. The highest salary package offered in the whole university is 1 crore per annum. They provided placement for almost 1000 students from the whole university.
Infrastructure: All the facilities of sports, games, WiFi, labs, library and medical facilities provided are good. The food in the canteen is not good, and it is costly.The library is the nice and good place to study. The sports activities are conducted throughout the year and provide opportunities to all the students. The swimming pool and gym facilities are also provided.
Faculty: We have helpful and knowledgeable faculty members. There are 12 faculty members. They give us notes and make us understand the concept. They provide us with some extra knowledge for our future. The ratio between the student and faculty is 4:2. They try to give their extra time to slow learners.

East or west, SMIT is the best!
Placements: The placements of SMIT is fantastic. Most renowned companies like Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Amazon, etc. come to pick up the talented candidates. Nearly 80% of the students got placed in 2015. But if one wants to sit for the placements then about 60% overall is needed with no backlogs. Developers, testers, software engineers are some of the honorable roles which are offered to BCA students. If one wants good placements, I recommend to my friends to go to SMIT.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of SMIT is awesome. In Sikkim, SMIT is taken as a viewpoint for tourist. So think how the infrastructure could be. SMIT is believed to be a small world where all the things you will get nearby, you don't have to go all the way long to fetch. The whole campus is equipped with latest WiFi technology. The classrooms are also awesome. There are some areas in SMIT where we have named different names such as 'Maal Road', 'Dhoka Point' etc. Hostel rooms are also awesome. There are choices for the rooms such as single bed room and double bed room. If you want a pleasurable life as well as a good quality education, SMIT is recommended to you. Please have one experience with SMIT. You will automatically come to know whatever I have written here is all true. Maybe you all do something epic in SMIT in later life.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is highly trained and is fully experienced. I personally feel proud of having such faculty in our college. They are very friendly. We talk to our faculty members like friends. They use various methods of teaching, mostly they use surprise tests. They also conduct quizzes and internal exam. Based on those marks, we are allowed to give the end semester examination. If one fails in the internal marks, then they have to appear again for the internal test. SMIT takes this path very crucial. There are no excuses for passing the examination. I like this method. They also prepare us for job assistance and if requested then they also conduct seminars. Personally speaking, my dream is to get faculty job in SMIT, so that I can continue my fun at SMIT.
Other: Our college is very crucial on discipline, because our college is being run by all ex-army officers. Renowned posts like general, major, brigadier, colonel are running our college. We have to dress very properly. If they found the dressings are not properly then they take disciplinary action. There is no ragging in our college. When I went to SMIT, I was actually prepared for ragging. But I found nowhere ragging done to me. Instead, the seniors take some formal talk in order to maintain the bridge between seniors and juniors and later if we get stuck in any form, the seniors are always ready to help.
