Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology MTech is a two-year postgraduate degree course, divided across four semesters, and is offered in full-time mode. The basic eligibility \required by the institute to get admission in MTech courses is candidates must complete their BE/ BTech degrees from the related field according to the specialisation they want to choose.
SMIT Sikkim MTech courses are available in five specialisations- MTech in Computer Science Engineering, MTech in Power Electronics, MTech in Structural Engineering, MTech in Information Technology, and MTech in Digital Electronics & Communication Engineering/ MTech in Communication & Signal Process. For SMIT Sikkim MTech admissions, the institute accepts the scores of GATE, followed by a Screening Test conducted at SMIT by the concerned Department.
Also, for Communication and Signal Process, the institute also accepts the score of the Entrance Examination conducted by Manipal University, Manipal. For admissions to MTech in Power Electronics and IT, the institute grants admission based on merit. Candidates must complete their BTech degree in related branches and must have secured an aggregate of 50% (for Power Electronics and 50% for (IT).

As per the details available in the official website, the institute will conductthree separate rounds of counselling for SMIT, JEE Main and MET candidates. The schedule for the counselling for all three rounds will be announced soon.

The schedule for SMIT counselling is yet to be announced. As per the previous year dates, the counselling is likely to be held in May and June. The exact dates will be announced soon and the same will be updated at this page.

No, there is no fees to participate in SMIT counselling. All qualified candidates will be called for the counselling and seats will be allotted basis their score in the exam. Candidates will have to pay the admission fees once the seat is allotted.
