SOT PDEU Scholarship Details ,Gandhinagar

SOT, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) offers a wide range of scholarships based on merit, social background and other achievements. The scholarships are in the form of tuition fee waivers. Check below the scholarships offered at SOT PDEU:

a) Merit Scholarship: Full Tuition Fee Waiver (w.e.f. first semester)

All the students who will take admissions in a given band of JEE and ACPC rank for various programs will get full tuition fees waiver.

To become eligible for the continuance of the scholarship in subsequent years, the students are required:

• To have earned Minimum SPI of 8 in the 1st Semester, and also of 8.5 in every subsequent
• To have passed every semester examination at the first attempt besides regular attendance, disciplined and exemplary behaviour and compliance with all other norms, as prescribed by the University from time to time.

b) Merit cum Means Scholarship: Half Tuition Fee Waiver (w.e.f. first semester)

To become eligible for the continuance of the scholarship in subsequent years, the students are required to do the following:

• To have earned Minimum SPI of 8 in the first semester, and also of 8.5 in every subsequent
• To have passed every semester examination at the first attempt besides regular attendance, disciplined and exemplary behaviour and compliance with all other norms, as prescribed by the University from time to time.
• Total annual income (from all sources) of the student’s family should not exceed INR 10 lakhs in the previous financial year.

c) Merit Scholarship: Half Tuition Fee Waiver (w.e.f. first semester) - For SC & ST Category Students

To become eligible for the continuance of the scholarship in subsequent years, the students are required to do the following:

• To have earned Minimum SPI of 7 in the first semester, and also of 7.5 in every subsequent
• To have passed every semester examination at the first attempt besides regular attendance, disciplined and exemplary behaviour and compliance with all other norms, as prescribed by the University from time to time.

d) Merit Scholarship: Half Tuition F ee Waiver (w.e.f. first semester) - For Female Students

To become eligible for the continuance of the scholarship in subsequent years, the students are required:

• To have earned Minimum SPI of 8 in the 1^st Semester, and also of 5 in every subsequent semester.
• To have passed every semester examination at the first attempt besides regular attendance, disciplined and exemplary behaviour and compliance with all other norms, as prescribed by the University from time to time.

e) Special Merit Scholarships:

• 25% Tuition Fee Waiver as per the intake of the batch of 2025-29 of Civil / Electrical / Petroleum Engineering.
• Admission either through All India Seats or ACPC
• The scholarship will continue up to the final semester for the students passing fully with minimum 6.5 CPI in Sem. - I and onwards.

(This provision is NOT applicable to admissions on NRI seats/ TFW seats)

f) Scholarship for Defense / CAPF Persons

A candidate will apply in normal category as well as in Defence/ CAPF category. There would be no change in the eligibility criteria for admission as described in Section - 4 of this document.

• 100% tuition fee waiver to wards of Gallantry Award winner or those who made supreme sacrifice for the nation e. fatal battle causality. Candidate has to present proof of award from respective organization.
• 50% tuition fee waiver to the ward of war injured / war disabled soldier of defence force and CAPF. Candidate has to present war disability certificate from respective organization.
• 50% tuition fee waiver to the wards soldiers whose annual income less than 8.0 lakhs. Candidate has to present income certificate.

g) Scholarship for Son / Daughter of Widow/ Divorcee or Orphan child: Half Tuition Fee Waiver

• The scholarship will be 50% of the total Tuition Fees from the second academic year
• The merit list will be based on the result of First Year and further the continuation of the scholarship in subsequent third and fourth year shall subject to minimum 5 CPI at the first attempt in the previous year, besides fulfilment of other norms. e.g. regular attendance, discipline and exemplary behaviour.
• Total Annual Income (from all sources) of the student’s family should not exceed INR 4.50 lakhs in the previous financial year.

h) Scholarship for Son/ Daughter of Physically Handicapped Parents: Half Tuition Fees Waiver

• The scholarship will be 50% of the total Tuition Fees from the second academic year
• The merit list will be based on the result of First Year and further the continuation of the scholarship in subsequent 3^rd and 4^th year shall subject to minimum 5 CPI at the first attempt in the previous year, besides fulfilment of other norms. e.g. regular attendance, discipline and exemplary behavior.
• Those student’s parents who are more than 40% physically handicapped (Certificate to be provided)
• Total Annual Income (from all sources) of the student’s family should not exceed INR 4.50 lakhs in the previous financial year.

Note: For Widow/ Divorcee or Orphan Child & for Physically Handicapped Parents: In total 10 students will get these Scholarship based on the CPI and parents income on merit basis and additional 5 students will get these scholarship on Special Recommendation (if they fulfil the above criteria).
