Good infrastructure and facilities, well-maintained labs, and internships are mandatory.
Placements: Actually, everyone got internships because it's mandatory, and teachers also help us get internships. The college wants us to be industry-ready, so internships are compulsory. A pretty good percentage of students get placements, but Physics is a pure Science subject, so people actually try to pursue higher studies in this subject. They avoid placement.
Infrastructure: The facilities, like we have free Wi-Fi all over the college, labs are well maintained, and the whole college has AC rooms. The library is also good. We can find a vast collection of books there. In the hostel, the quality of food is good, and we have a fixed time to eat. The hostel warden is quite strict and guides us to maintain a timetable. The sports facilities are too good; there is a gym in the hostel, and you can play any games you want. So it's pretty decent.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful. They're well qualified and they give us a lot of knowledge and help us not only in studies but also to grow in life. Actually, Physics is a fundamental subject. Exams are actually pretty tough, but the passing percentage is 40%, so it's manageable.
Other: I actually love to know about space and the universe, its rules, so that's why I chose this. The best thing is that it teaches us from the very basics to the advanced level, so it helps to build our base in this subject. If we could solve more problems and if we could work in the lab every day (we've labs 3 days a week), then I think it'll be more fun. College provides scholarships, there are lots of events happening here and there, and the annual fest is so much fun. We wait the whole year just for the fest.

Satisfied with college. However, extremely strict discipline makes campus life very school-like.
Placements: About 70% students were placed. The highest package is 15 LPA. Average package is 10 LPA, and lowest package is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, PwC, ICICI, TCS, and EY. 90% of second and third year students secured an internship. Data-centric or Data analytics-based roles.
Infrastructure: The popular green bench area is Wi-Fi enabled. 3 computer labs, 1 smart lab, 1 high-performance data Science lab, and 1 finance lab are at disposal for use by Statistics students of this college. Two fully equipped air-conditioned audio-visual rooms with an accommodation capacity of approximately 70 students each are available for Statistics classes. Central library (the general purpose library) and Goethals library (the historic volumes). Hostel contains a variety of rooms and is equipped with a hygienic mess. Department of Sports offers several sporting options and maintains respective college teams.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, well-qualified, and definitely knowledgeable. Teaching quality is high enough for the students to understand the concepts in depth. Course curriculum is totally industry relevant, and the supporting projects and assignments help the students become acquainted with the needs of the real world. Semester exams are of standard difficulty, enough to test the readiness of the students as per the syllabus of that particular semester. Across the entire course, the pass rate averages approximately 40%.

Extremely Strenuous but alright.
Placements: Only about 5 out of 65 students were placed through our college, moreover in subpar roles as assistants and entry-level technicians, both audio and video. There were no major players except TOI and Hindu as recruiters, and the packages were modest at best.
Infrastructure: All the labs and studios were above average, with decent equipment and furnished with the latest tech. We had iMacs to edit on individually and other sophisticated devices too. The canteen is okayish and modest but tends to lack healthier options, honestly.
Faculty: The teachers were all qualified, but in my opinion, some of them had an ineffective approach to teaching, making the material mundane and boring. To an extent, you may feel industry-ready if you want to focus on filmmaking. The difficulty is not much, and only one student had backlogs at the end of the course.
Other: Fests are fun and lively. Make sure to be a part of the organizing, as there is plenty of scope for everyone to do something. There is a lot of politics and drama, so people should anticipate and read carefully in that regard.

My college provides a great environment for studies and great facilities overall.
Placements: The education quality is overall good compared to the other colleges out there. From my department, many students do not choose placements. They study further. Some students go abroad, and some go to the IITs. I will recommend this college if someone wants to study.
Infrastructure: Labs are good. There is an observatory, which is quite a great thing. Wi-Fi, canteen, and classrooms are also great. The library is very good. It is large, and we find almost everything that we need, including some things beyond education. My overall experience is good so far. Overall, the infrastructure is good.
Faculty: Teachers are absolutely helpful and humble. They care for every student. They guide us in both academic and non-academic things. As a professor, they are great, and they provide quality education. They are involved with every student and try to improve their academic performance.
Other: The campus life is good. We will find a lot of societies. Events are going on all the time.

My experience at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in M.Sc. courses is generally high, with an average CTC of 10 LPA, more or less, though it differs from course to course. In M.Sc. in Data Science, one can expect a CTC as high as 25-30 LPA, whereas most of the time, B.Sc. students don't sit in a placement drive. If you sit, you can expect 3-10 LPA, more or less. The placement cell is very effective in helping you find all kinds of jobs and internships.
Infrastructure: There is free Wi-Fi for students, and the library system is quite excellent, with a good number of books and access to numerous important websites and newspapers like the Hindu online paper. The hostel facility is good as far as I heard, because I am a local student, so I don't use the hostel. Most of the classrooms are equipped with AC, and there are labs to hold practical classes.
Faculty: The faculty is quite experienced and always helpful. The course curriculum is well planned as per the NEP. Sometimes you can feel difficulty in understanding the classes, though the professors help if you ask. Exams are conducted in a 2 month difference, and there are two exams in each semester, that is, end semester exam and the mid-semester exam. The questions generally come from the syllabus and what is taught in class.
Other: As you know, I guess St Xavier's hosts the biggest fest among all colleges of Kolkata, i.e., Xavotsav, which happens on a very big scale and is always very fun. Not only that, there are several societies in college based on cultural, science, business, etc. Feel free to join, you will definitely enjoy it. As far as the course is concerned, I have a batch strength of 58, where the highest SGPA is 10. So, you can get marks if you study at least a B.Sc. in Statistics.

Academically Good but Socially Questionable
Placements: We are 1st year students so we don't know much about the placements but we know that big companies like Deloitte recruit students from our college. Internship opportunities are provided to all year students based on different eligibility criteria so it is convenient and attainable for all.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great but not all classrooms have ACs which is problematic and causes difficulties in extreme summer periods. All classrooms have proper projector and wifi facilities. The canteen is also decent. Nothing is too bad, the pricing as well as the quality is decent. Sports and gaming facilities are also provided, there is a table tennis room and carrom and other indoor games are also there. Outdoor sports are also played like softball, football, dodgeball, basketball. The ground is very large which is very suitable for sports.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and approachable with great experience. They provide study materials for exams which are really helpful. The professors are present in the college one hour prior to classes for doubt clearing sessions for individuals. There are 4 examinations held per year, 2 semester exams and 2 CIAs (Continuous Internal Assessments).
Other: B.com hons is the flagship course for St Xavier's College. It offers best education for students in this field, they provide great exposure to students through speaker sessions, events and competitions which shape student's personality and career. The faculty is great but the students are a bit arrogant. People are less inclusive and are less friendly. There is a bit of groupism and superiority complex between students which is the negative side of this college. Social life here is great, many events are held in the college so people can participate and engage from time to time. Scholarship schemes are also provided by the college ranging from full coverage to partial waivers depending on the student's capabilities.
