The course, the college, the experience hence, is worth going through the stringency that on.
Placements: The Placement Cell is quite active and promising. Students pursuing a course in Arts don't usually indulge in it as much as Commerce students do. Yet, one can always look up for useful internships at the Placement website which is updated regularly and sign up.
Infrastructure: The ambience maintained in the hostel is conducive for studying. You can however always tell that there is a very high regard for rules both in the campus and the hostel. It is a very competitive avenues, to which there are many cons but even more pros. If you can manage stress well, you'll find yourself bettering consistently.
Faculty: Most lectures are amazing. One wouldn't want to miss classes because attending them sincerely would provide you sufficient insight and you wouldn't really need tuitions. Regular courses however wouldn't help you with employability skills, that is something one has to work up separately.
Other: One needs to choose friends judiciously, the circle you are a part of will leave impact on how you perform academically.

Faculty: Yes, teachers are highly qualified, very helpful, and friendly, with a high potential for academic knowledge. The teaching quality is very professional and creative. The course curriculum is very relevant and systematically modified as per the curriculum of the CBCS system. The semester exams are of a higher standard because of the high educational values that the college is famous for.
Other: Every department has its own club, which holds festivals and events for the benefit and overall development of the students capacity, both mentally and physically. Disciplined environment with high-quality education, but a lack of a proper campus.
Placements: There is the availability of a placement cell within the college to help students get placements. Around 60-70% of the students get placed with top companies like Detroit, DE Shaw and Taj visiting to offer jobs. The offers range between 6-7 LPA, with the highest package going up to 30 LPA. Departmental internships are offered to all students at organisations like Asian in Global Affairs, ISCS and MAKAIAS, which are usually unpaid. Students can opt for paid internships through the placement cell.
Infrastructure: The classrooms have AV facilities and some are air-conditioned. Labs in the Science department and 2-3 computer labs are also available. There are 4-5 conference halls within the main building and an Auditorium where various events take place. The library is well-equipped with academic texts and journals. The canteen within the building has affordable food options for students, but the quality is moderate and could be improved. A separate Department of Sports takes care of conducting sports events like football and basketball matches, and the Annual Sports Day.
Faculty: The professors are helpful and friendly with the students. They help students clear their doubts through remedial classes. They are well qualified with PhD and Master's degrees in their respective fields. Classes are made interactive and engaging through group discussions. The course curriculum is relevant to real-life practical skills with papers in Political Theory, International Relations and Public Administration. The semester examinations are usually difficult, with a 40% pass percentage. There is a wide range of minor subjects offered, which help students prepare themselves for industry jobs in the future.
Other: I chose this course to get a better understanding of geopolitical issues, along with the knowledge of economics. I like how my education in economics directly correlates to various aspects of international relations and helps me understand the political framework of a nation better. I would choose to add more on-field experience in the course to help students acquire better practical skills. There are various societies present on campus that allow students to give expression to their individual skills and interests besides academics. The crowd is diverse and talented, and the environment is disciplined. The college celebrates its annual fest, Xavotsav, in January, one of the biggest college fests in Kolkata.
