The college is good. Staff is decent. SVCE is known for its placements and fests.
Placements: Placement has always been excellent in SVCE. Almost all the students have 1 offer in their hand. I personally have 2 offers currently. The TPO is very experienced and kind. CS and IS have excellent placements. EC, TC, and EE have very good placements. CV and ME have to struggle a bit to get core placement. It has been a record that SVCE has 80% placement which is better than other top colleges in Bangalore. MBA placements are also decent.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent as compared to the other colleges. All the departments are in one block. All blocks are placed adjacent to each other. There is a separate block for the library. There is canteen facility also which is quite affordable. New blocks are also being built in the campus.The college has a total area of 8 acres out of which 6 acres are in use and the rest 2 acres are grass lawn. There are many spots to view like SVCE rocks, forest, railway track, SVCE hill etc. You can explore a lot. SVCE has a small ground which conducts many VTU sports event. The ground is adjacent to the college.
Faculty: The staff of SVCE is good. However, it depends upon the department also. I being in MBA, MI has a very good staff. It also depends upon the student's willingness to learn. If you are really interested in studying, teachers are always there to help you.
