B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (IOT) - Batch of 2025
3.0
It is a below average college.
Placements: According to 2024, the students placed on campus are 55%. Only half of the students are not placed on campus. Recruiting companies are Zomato, HCL, Accenture, Zero Code, TCS, Global Data, etc. The highest package is 5.55 LPA. The lowest package is 3.50 LPA. Internships are not offered here.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are average, washrooms are bit average, and library is good. It has a lot of books which are useful for student courses. Classrooms have maximum 8 fans but in that, only 4 will work properly. Food in the canteen is overpriced and it does not have any Indian food. It has only limited options. Sports classes are not there. Ground is so small, and we cannot play any games. Our college has the best auditorium, and I can say that proudly.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in getting good marks in internals. There are handful of faculty members. They are good and qualified and have better knowledge. If you are interested in coding, then they will help in many ways to gain knowledge. Our batch is JNTUH affiliated so semester exams are somewhat difficult. Present batch is autonomous only. Pass percentage in each semester is 65-75%.

According to me, my college is above average but it has good auditorium, library, lab, canteen, ground.
Placements: In every batch, atleast least 35%–40% of students are placed in the companies in the campus placements. The highest package offered to my course was 11 LPA, and the lowest was 9.5LPA. Recruiting companies like TCS, Qualcomm, Sutherland, Axis Bank, Infosys, etc. Come for the recruitment in our college.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are not available at our college. Our college contains good labs, decent classrooms, a decent canteen, and a very good library. Wi-Fi is not available on the whole campus, but sometimes we have to face very difficult connections to the network, and sometimes the network is very slow. This should not be improved yet.
Faculty: At the time of our batch, our college was affiliated with JNTU, but at present it is an autonomous college. So for our batch, the passing marks in the exams were 21 out of 60. It was like 60 marks for external exams and 40 marks for internal exams. During my batch, there were qualified and knowledgeable teachers for subjects like C programming, Java, mathematics, chemistry, and English.
Other: I selected this course because it was good in curriculum-wise and also because it will provide many opportunities for me in the future. Coming to events and fests, it occurs like thrice in a year. Sports competition (including indoor) are also conducted once in a year. I don't have an idea about scholarship.

Placements: Every year, the seniors get at least 60-70% placements with some of the students refusing offers due to low pay scale and the others getting stuck due to their back logs. Training and studio are good here but you need to stay focused. Highest package offered is around 20 LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA. It all depends on your performance, not only academically but technically too.
Infrastructure: Campus is small but has every necessary equipment required for the students. They support you in every possible way in everything, just don't lag behind with your academics. Food in the canteen is fairly priced and they have good food. You need to compromise with sports as they have a small ground and organise sports events yearly.
Faculty: Teachers here are very good but don't underestimate them by their looks or the way they are, take them seriously and don't argue with them. Being good will help you very well in the academics and in any extra curricular activities as well.
Other: While taking admissions, avoid giving donations and stick to your choice of branch if you have above 75% in your 12th class.

Review of Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the lowest salary pacakge offered is 3 LPA. Top roles offered in our college placement are software developer, debugger and data analyst, and many more. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Salesforce. It provides internships opportunities to students.
Infrastructure: In this college, the washrooms are not cleaned. Classrooms are cleaned. It has a library equipped with many books. Wi-Fi is not provided for students. There is medical aid in case of emergency. It has a canteen which is good, acceptable, and manageable. Rates are also reasonable. Sports and games are also provided.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and highly educated. They use a variety of ways to make students understand. Semester exams are not difficult if students listen to classes. The pass percentage is around 65%. Our college makes students ready for placements and competitive exams are also provided.
Other: Our college provides scholarships and it has a huge crowd. Students even have an auditorium where many events and fests are held.

College has the advantage of being in the middle of the city, making it easy to travel.
Placements: 60 percent is mandatory for intermediate students. The highest package is 3.5 and the lowest is 8 lakhs per annum. Companies like Google, Wipro, etc. 89 percent of students get scholarships and Wipro IoT developer. According to last year's placement, some students will get placements based on skills.
Infrastructure: No hostel facility in college can create several challenges for students, especially those who come from distant villages, towns, or other cities to pursue their education. Without a hostel, students must search for private rooms, shared apartments, or paying guest accommodations, which can be expensive and sometimes unsafe. This increases the financial burden on families, particularly for students from middle-class or economically weaker backgrounds.
Faculty: Teaching is good in the first year, but after that, faculty teaching is average. No full guidance is taken by teachers, and it may vary based on students' behavior. The pass percentage is 80, but it may differ based on changes every year. Faculty is average.
Other: I am from the batch 2022-2026. I am interested in the IoT environment. Scholarships are provided by the state government.

Not a good college for students who are seeking high-paying jobs.
Placements: I am from the batch of 2022-2026, and my course is CSE (IOT) with a class strength of 56 students. There are only 30% of students in our course who got internships from companies like Cognizant, Tech Mahindra and Sutherland. The highest package is of 8 LPA, and the lowest package is of 5 LPA for our course.
Infrastructure: Every classroom in our college has a projector, and classrooms are decent in terms of maintenance. There is no hostel facility in our college. Some of the labs, like Chemistry and electrical engineering labs, are maintained very neatly. The food available in the canteen is decent in terms of taste and price. The library in our college is very good with well-stacked books and journals.
Faculty: The faculty for subjects like C programming and mathematics is very good, and the rest of the faculty members are decent in terms of teaching and knowledge. Some of the topics in our subjects are outdated and irrelevant to getting placed in the industry. The semester exams are difficult from the second year onwards.
Other: Every month, there is an event or a festival occurring in our college. Sports competitions (both indoor and outdoor) are organised once a year.

I am only dissatisfied with the placements and cleanliness of our college.
Placements: My batch is from 2022 to 2026 in CSE IOT. Companies like Cognizant, Sutherland, etc, are the recruiting companies that came to our college. 60% of students from my course got internship opportunity. Due to these reasons, I gave a two star rating for my college in terms of placements as it is not up to the mark and as good as compared to other Engineering colleges present in the city.
Infrastructure: There are many labs present in our college, like Chemistry lab, Digital Electronics lab, etc, which provide all the basic requirements for the students. Library is much better compared to the labs as it contains many textbooks, reference books, and journals. There are no Wi-Fi, medical, or hostel facilities in our college. Canteen food is of decent quality. Sports and games are also provided.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are average in terms of knowledge. They simply refer to some PDFs and recommend students to refer to the same PDFs for the preparation of the mid exams and end semester exams. The pass percentage of our college is 60% in the semester exams. The curriculum contained some topics that were not at all useful for the present requirements of the industry.
Other: There are only a few events organized in our college, like annual day, freshers party, and hackathons. The main advantage of our college is that it is situated at the center of the city, which helps the students to easily access the Metro rail and city buses. I chose this course as I found it unique, and my cousins suggested it.
