B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2016

The worst college in Mumbai for engineering.
Placements: The college was not at all good when it comes to placements. Maximum students are not least in the placement and no good companies come for the recruitment of the final year students. The maximum package was 400000 rupees per annum and the average package was around 222000 rupees for annum and the lowest package was around 150000 per annum. 35 percent students were place d during my year but not in good MNCs like TCS, Will, L&T etc. Startups come to recruit students. Top roles offered are in sales department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is bad. Our college has good sports facilities like football ground basketball ground tennis court. College supports in intercollegiate sports events. The Wi-Fi facility is bad. It didn't work properly in campus. The classrooms were spacious but cleanliness was a big concern. Library had books with full of dust on it. There was hostel facility which was separate for both boys and girls. There was no canteens on campus. There was no as such infrastructure facilities in the college. The campus is really bad.
Faculty: The teachers aren't highly qualified. There were good teachers which are even Masters qualified. Ph.D. is a long way for them. Maximum faculty members were visiting faculty members. Few faculty members were only full time available in college. The course and the field is nice but the way the sender teachers teach makes it horrible. These teachers need to be highly qualified. The students don't get ready for the industries.
Other: There were no fest or events conducted by the college authorities. There is no sort of enjoyment for the students in the college. The crowd is the worst in the college. Half the people aren't aware how to speak English. There are no scholarship opportunities. There are many things that the college should definitely change I. e they need to arrange industry seminars, lectures from highly qualified professors. They should take one day Industrial visits to national companies.

A very poor college in academics with zero placements.
Placements: Placements in the college were nil. Not even a single company visited the campus for placements of our batch and senior's batch. The college doesn't even make any efforts for inviting companies to the campus for placements. The college doesn't provide any internships. You have to look for placements and internships on your own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is decent enough. The college has computer labs, but they are not that well-equipped. Classrooms are big but not neat and clean. The college has a nice library with ample books to refer. Food served in the canteen is not that good. Hostel facilities are very bad, and the rooms are very small and not in proper condition.
Faculty: Faculty members were not highly qualified. Also, there was a shortage of faculty members, and there were no faculty members for a few subjects. Teachers were not able to solve our doubts properly as they were not clear with their concepts. The course curriculum was not properly managed.
Other: Annual day is the only event organised in the college.

Such type of college should be shut down.
Placements: There are no placements or campus interviews in the college. No senior or current students are placed from any branch. There is no question of the highest or lowest package with no placements, and the same goes with the internships. There is no placement cell in the college.
Infrastructure: The college has no proper infrastructure. The city is famous for the waterfall, and so is the college. There is a leakage in every corner. There are no other facilities like Wi-Fi, classroom, library, medical, and sports and games.
Faculty: Faculty members don't stay longer than a month due to salary issues. They take their salaries by harassing students and charging them fine for silly things such as submissions, unit test, projects, viva, mini project, etc. No teaching methods are implemented as there are no teachers here.
Other: No events and fests are conducted in the college. There is no campus crowd since no student travels so far as the campus is situated in the middle of a jungle. There are no transport facilities, and there is only a train which arrives after every two hours.

Good infrastructure, but not satisfied with the faculty and management.
Placements: Placements in the college are not that good. Only one or two companies visit the college for placements. There were no placements for two of our senior batches. What I heard from my seniors is that the companies offer call centre jobs. But from last year onwards, the college is working at bringing in good placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The college has a huge library and good sports facilities with basketball, volleyball and tennis courts. We also have a swimming pool, and the computer labs are good with well-equipped computers. Classrooms are spacious, but the benches and cleanliness are a concern. The hostels are not that good.
Faculty: The faculty are a big concern over here. Faculty members are decent enough for all other branches except mechanical, but they are not that skilful. There is a shortage of faculty members in the mechanical department, and there are no faculty members for few subjects. Also, the course curriculum is not properly managed. Some faculty members are careless in their approach and don't complete the portion as well.
Other: The campus crowd is decent enough with a majority of the crowd being from Kalyan and Dombivali. The college organises a few events and fests along with a sports day.

Good infrastructure with a nice atmosphere to study.
Placements: Placements in the college are decent enough. The college is bringing in companies for placements and providing fair chances for the students to get placed. Placements for our batch were good enough with around 50% to 60% of students getting placements. The average salary package offered was about 2 lacs per annum. The college is working hard to get good placements.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure with spacious classrooms and well-equipped computer labs. The college has Wi-Fi facilities and a huge campus with an Olympic size swimming pool. It also has basketball, volleyball and lawn tennis courts. The best thing about the campus is that it has lots of trees because of which the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Faculty: The teachers here are very friendly and ready to help you anytime. The course curriculum is properly managed with students getting the chance to go for industrial visits. The college also organised some guest lectures to get some experience from the industry experts.
Other: Various events and fests are organised in the college. Tarang and Area 244 are some of the events, and a sports day is also organised.

The college and its teaching faculty are good.
Placements: The placement percentage of our senior batch was 50%-60%. The placement percentage of our batch was also the same. The highest salary package offered was 5.5 LPA, and the average package offered was 2 to 3 LPA. Companies like Suzlon and Thermax, etc., have visited the campus for placements. The internships depend on students, and it is up to the students to do internships. Overall, this is an average college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The college provides the Wi-Fi facility, and the labs have computers with updated versions of the software. The library is big enough and has many numbers of books. The college has a sports room where there are a carrom board, chess board and table tennis. Classrooms are well-maintained. The college also has a good canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they are also having good knowledge about the subject. They are highly qualified. The teachers use both the blackboard and projectors to teach. They organise industrial visits so that the students get good industry exposure.
Other: The crowd of the college is average, and the campus is good. The surroundings of the campus are average.

The management and quality of education are not worth the money.
Placements: Only 1-2 companies visit the college to offer placements, which is also not suitable for the students to work, especially for mechanical students. The same was the case for our seniors. Only 2-3 students got placed from the batch, but the packages offered were also not great. An average package of 2 lacs per annum was offered. Companies that visited our college were average. At the beginning of the work in the company, those students have to do whatever they are asked to do. Almost 6-7 students got internships from each company. The stipend offered to interns was very low. The placement cell is good, but it needs to put more efforts to place the students. The placement cell is doing well, but it is not disciplined.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very bad as the facilities like Wi-Fi, medical, sports and games are not available. The library is good. The condition of labs and classrooms is the worst. The canteen is good and offers many varieties, but the prices are high. Hostel rooms are average. Some roofs have leakage problems all the time. Many places on the campus are dirty.
Faculty: Some teachers are good, and some are bad. They don't know the syllabus they have to teach. Their way of teaching is not good. There is no management and discipline because the teachers are careless about their job. A sufficient number of faculty are available in the college, but it is the same case with all the branches.
Other: Events and festivals are rarely conducted in the college. The college conducts extracurricular activities but not at a great level. The government provides scholarships to the students.

Try some other college better than this.
Placements: The placements are nowhere good these days. You can get good freedom in this college. 1 out of 10 CSE students gets placed, but not in MNC. Don't expect too much about placements, however, TPO tries his best. Good companies do come, but placements depend on our own performance too.
Infrastructure: The college has an awesome infrastructure. There is a river nearby. Classrooms are airy. The college has many grounds for cricket, football, and basketball. Many canteens are available on the campus. Hostel facility is there, but don't expect anything more than a bed there. A swimming pool and many huts are available in the college.
Faculty: The faculty in our college are young and helpful. Don't expect IIT type of coaching in this college. One thyself needs to take efforts to pass. 4 out of 10 faculty members are good. One will enjoy freedom in classrooms here, but the college is not good to become a professional engineer.
Other: It is a good college for enjoyment.
