One of the worst engineering colleges in Kolkata.
Placements: Very few students got placed in our course. Also, they're offering BPO posts for a B.Tech graduate. There's no on-campus placement. They'll literally put our CVs on random job-oriented websites. Even the HOD promised us placement, but after the completion of college, he denied every word he said before.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure was very bad, and the hostel was horrible. By the name of a hostel, they only have 3 big hall rooms where they've kept a total of 12 students, meaning 4 students in each room. There's no Wi-Fi facility in the hostel. The canteen food is pretty average.
Faculty: Till 2020, the faculty was very good. But after 2020, the faculty has become very poor, and they don't even give proper classes. The semester exams were conducted by the university with which our college was affiliated. So, the semester exams were pretty tough, and the guards were very strict.
Other: They don't arrange any cultural fests or any events.

If you have more options then consider other colleges and if not then go for it.
Placements: Less than 50% of students are placed in the last 3 years. No such top recruiting companies in our college. Highest salary is 11 lakhs and average is 4 lakhs.
For internships, you have to try off-campus internships, which are not provided by the college. Mostly software roles are offered and few for non-tech roles.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is decent and labs are also good. Hostel is below average. The canteen is also of poor quality and the canteen is handled by external people, not by the college but the food is decent. The library is small and has fewer books.
Faculty: Some teachers have good knowledge but some teachers are not knowledgeable. Semester exams are taken seriously by the students as well as teachers and the passing percentage is more than 70% . The course curriculum is very old and more focused on theory than on practicals.

Review of Techno International Batanagar.
Placements: As my college comes under the Techno group, we do get a batch of good companies recruiting our students. I reckon almost 50–60% of students were placed. The highest package was 20 lpa, which was by Amazon. Companies like Infosys and Amazon recruit from our course. As I just entered my third year, I don't really have an idea about the internship part offered by the college. I just found one for myself on my own. Techno as a group is good but as far as Techno International Batanagar is concerned, I wouldn't say the same.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are quite basic, without Wi-Fi, digital boards or air conditioning. Wi-Fi is available, but only in the computer labs, and the signal is weak. The library is small and contains only course-related books; you won't find novels or other general reading materials there. The playground is somewhat like someone's backyard. As for the canteen, it lives up to the stereotype. The food is below average and tasteless—the kind that could make you lose 3 kg in a week or so. Medical facilities are null. Well, I do think they have a first-aid kit. They organize an annual sports day-like event. You can participate if you like, with options including cricket, badminton, football, and a few other sports. That's pretty much it.
Faculty: The teachers have some knowledge, but there is a significant language barrier. They are not fluent in English, which is a basic skill and they often teach in Bengal. This can be challenging for students who are not from West Bengal. A few teachers make an effort to teach in broken Hindi and only a handful are proficient in English . The syllabus has never been completed on time in the four semesters that I've attended, which seems typical for many colleges. In one instance, a teacher was using a YouTube channel to take notes and then provided those notes to us without making any effort to teach. However, I do appreciate that the teachers are patient; they'll repeat themselves as many times as needed, perhaps because their inability to be effective has humbled them. A few classes, like value-added training, have been held in the past. Now, in the fifth semester, we have courses like software engineering, where we get to practice in detail regarding website development and other related skills. As for being industry ready, I would say it's a 50-50 situation. They do offer soft skills classes and prepare us for group discussion, but that's about it. The semester exams can be described as irrelevant. Our college is under MAKAUT University, and the exam questions are often seen as absurd. The questions that seem unlikely to appear are exactly the ones that show up, like theory questions in a math paper. As for the pass rate, it's a 60-40 situation: 60 percent pass while 40 percent have backlogs in one or more subjects. However, there's a twist: if you pay for paper review, more students tend to pass. The pass rate ranges from 60 percent to 73 percent.
Other: I do want to get a job in the IT sector, which is why I chose the straight-forward course, CSE. As for this college, my parents weren't patient enough to wait for the second round of counselling. I could've gotten into a much better college because my WBJEE rank was pretty decent. There's nothing particularly outstanding about this course. The people around me are the only thing that makes it somewhat bearable. I wish they could hire more educated and insightful teachers. Other than that, I don't have many complaints, especially considering the prices, which are quite affordable compared to other colleges. Given the low cost, we can't expect much more. They organize a typical festival featuring Bengali C-grade artists, like random bands that you don't even know—nothing too extravagant. The campus crowd isn't very large either. However, one good thing is that there's no ragging at this college. I mean, obviously, seniors will ask you to introduce ourselves and stuff but there's no bullying. That's about it.

A fantastic journey with Techno International Batanagar.
Placements: 5 to 10% of students have been placed till now. There are many companies that recruit students from our college. TCS is the main recruiter for Techno Group. The highest package we got from our college this year was a 9 LPA. Internships are not provided directly from college but anybody can do internships on their own if they get any.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. There are quality laboratories that are air-conditioned. Wi-fi is provided only in labs, not on campus. Medical facilities are also there. There is a lot of ground in front of this college. Sports and game facilities are also provided.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty members are very friendly and they are experts in their field. They teach the students with practical experiments. Labs are done very seriously, as they are very much needed. The faculty provides training to the students with new technologies. Semester exams are moderate, not so tough and also not so easy.
Other: The college conducts a cultural festival and also an inter-college tech fest that is like a project competition. A WB board student can easily get a scholarship, which is provided by the WB government.

Best life in our college .
Placements: The highest package of our college is 18 lacs per annum, but it is off-campus and the average package is 4 lacs per annum. But this year, there is chaos in our job from college because no companies have come to our college till now. Only 1 student has been placed in our year till now, which is very bad news for students.
Infrastructure: College is not too good but I like it. I always have a dream to go to engineering college so I don't care much about how it's done. The hostel is also good. I am living in the college hostel, and I like it. A canteen facility is also available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, knowledgeable and highly qualified; they help us in everything. Semester exams are tough so I also prepare from the start of the semester. The passing percentage of our college semester is 40%, where students take internal exams for 20% at the college level.

Absolutely dissatisfied with this college.
Placements: Even 10% of students not placed. Companies haven't come till now in our college. Only internship companies are coming. Companies like Deloitte, Wipro, Infotech, HCL, etc. Companies came to our college. But till now no companies have come. Even most last year students haven't been placed yet.
Infrastructure: It's just like a small school. 0 infrastructure, like a small ground where u even able to play cricket. Our college is just 4 floors. The uppermost floor is only hostel, so small even the canteen is just one in the whole campus. Only 4 rooms in our hostel.
Faculty: No doubt, teachers are totally qualified. And teachers are fully experienced. Teachers and staff are so supportive. They will help you so much for your internal exams. Teachers are so friendly. The worst part is that in college, the native language is only Bengali.
Other: It's not value for money because most of the colleges have the same fee structure but they have a good campus and here u just get a c of campus.
