Commonly asked questions
The students will be able to know their total and paper-wise scores through the WBJEE result. The rank obtained in the exam and qualifying status will also be available in the result. Along with the exam scores and ranks, the WBJEE application number, roll number, etc., will also be present.
WBJEE result will not be sent through post or email. Students will have to log in with their roll number and password to check and download WBJEE result. They can download result in form of a rank card.
WBJEEB will announce WBJEE 2026 toppers. Highest scoring students will be given top ranks in WBJEE 2026. In previous year, Aniruddha Chakrabarti secured first rank in WBJEE, followed by Samyajyoti Biswas and Dishaanth Basu in second and third rank. List of the top 10 rankers in WBJEE 2026 will be released by authorities.
WBJEE result will be downloadable in form of a rank card. Students will have to log in with required details to check result. Once logged in, they can download result as WBJEE rank card. It will be needed during counselling and admission.
What is the WBJEE Marking Scheme?
Students should know the official WBJEE marking scheme to understand how their responses in examination will be marked. WBJEE question paper has three categories for every subject. Marking scheme for every category of questions is different. Students should check category wise marking details carefully so that they know how to prepare to secure high scores in examination.

WBJEE 2026 Cutoff
WBJEEB prepares WBJEE cutoff to select eligible students for admissions into participating institutes. Opening and closing ranks for admissions are released through round-wise WBJEE cutoff. However, students are not guaranteed admission if they meet cutoff, since other factors will also be considered. If they meet cutoff, they will have higher chances of admission during WBJEE counselling. While preparing cutoff, authorities will consider different factors such as previous years' trends, exam difficulty level, number of candidates and more. WBJEE cutoff will be different according to choice of courses and colleges,

WBJEE 2026 counselling dates have not been announced yet. The qualified candidates will have to participate in the two rounds of counselling to be eligible for admissions. WBJEE 2026 counselling registration will be open online. Seat allotment result will be declared for all participating candidates.
WBJEEB conducts the WBJEE counselling process online. All qualified candidates have to register for the counselling and fill out their choice of colleges and courses. The counselling fee also has to be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No offline counselling will be held.
During second round of WBJEE counselling, candidates can go back to their previous allotment, if they are not allotted in their higher preference. If they are allotted higher preference, then their previous seat will be automatically cancelled.
During WBJEE counselling, the students who want to withdraw their admission have to complete it before the last date. If the withdrawal is not done on time, then they will not be able to get refund of the seat acceptance fee.

WBJEE Counselling 2026 Process
WBJEE 2026 counselling will be held online. Students will have to register for counselling and fill choice of colleges and courses in order of preference. WBJEE 2026 counselling fee also has to be paid. Seat allotment result will be announced online. Allotment of seats will be done based on rank and preferences. Once allotted, they will have to confirm their admission by paying seat acceptance fee, verifying their documents and tuition fee payment.
