WBJEEB prepares WBJEE cutoff to select eligible students for admissions into participating institutes. Opening and closing ranks for admissions are released through round-wise WBJEE cutoff. However, students are not guaranteed admission if they meet cutoff, since other factors will also be considered. If they meet cutoff, they will have higher chances of admission during WBJEE counselling. While preparing cutoff, authorities will consider different factors such as previous years' trends, exam difficulty level, number of candidates and more. Yes, there a self-financing institutes included in the WBJEE counselling process. In the self-financing institutes, the 10% approved seats will be open for JEE Main qualified candidates. These students do not require WBJEE scores for admission.
If the students have any grievance about their WBJEE score, then they can raise a query through email to information [at]wbjeeb.nic.in. The grievances have to be submitted within 24 hours of the result declaration. Along with the grievance, the students will also have to attach copies of their OMR, rank card, question booklet number and its series code along with the question wise calculation of the score.
The students will be able to know their total and paper-wise scores through the WBJEE result. The rank obtained in the exam and qualifying status will also be available in the result. Along with the exam scores and ranks, the WBJEE application number, roll number, etc., will also be present.
