WBJEE 2025 Marks vs Rank

WBJEE marks are the scores obtained by candidates in all three subjects of the entrance examination. The marking scheme of WBJEE specifies the mark distribution over the number of questions in the WBJEE question paper. To understand how scores are computed in the WBJEE exam, candidates will have to study the detailed exam pattern.

WBJEE exam pattern comprises two papers: Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). While the Mathematics section of WBJEE carries a total of 100 marks against 75 questions, the Physics and Chemistry sections comprise a total of 50 marks against 40 questions in each of the sections.

The given WBJEE marks vs rank table will help the candidates analyse how many marks they score will help them attain the desired admission rank. It will provide candidates with a rough idea of the WBJEE marks vs ranks.

Students can check the expected rank range as per the obtained WBJEE 2025 marks from the table given below.

WBJEE Cut-Off Marks

WBJEE cut-offs are the minimum marks required by candidates for a higher chance of admission. However, it is to be noted that meeting the cutoff will not guarantee admission. The candidates will be more eligible for admission if they meet the cutoff.

Each of the WBJEE participating institutes releases separate cut-off marks for the courses offered through the joint entrance examination. WBJEE cut-off comprises a category-wise list of minimum scores and opening-closing ranks. The cutoff marks may vary for each of the categories and the offered courses.

Q:   Can I request to review my WBJEE scores?
A:

If the students have any grievance about their WBJEE score, then they can raise a query through email to information [at]wbjeeb.nic.in. The grievances have to be submitted within 24 hours of the result declaration. Along with the grievance, the students will also have to attach copies of their OMR, rank card, question booklet number and its series code along with the question wise calculation of the score.

Q:   Will the WBJEE result be sent through post or email?
A:

WBJEE result will not be sent through post or email. The students will have to log in using their roll number and password to access the WBJEE result. The result has to be downloaded in the form of rank card.

Q:   Will the authorities announce the WBJEE toppers?
A:

Yes, the WBJEEB authorities will announce the WBJEE 2026 toppers. The highest scoring students will be given the top ranks in WBJEE 2026. In the previous year, Aniruddha Chakrabarti secured the first rank in WBJEE, followed by Samyajyoti Biswas and Dishaanth Basu in the second and third rank. WBJEE cutoff will vary for the different colleges, courses and categories. Reserved category students are expected to have a lower cutoff than General students. Likewise, popular colleges and courses will have higher cutoffs due to the number of students applying for admission.

No, the students who meet the WBJEE cutoff will not be guaranteed admission. However, they will have higher chances of admission into their preferences. Since other factors will also be considered for allotment, the cutoff cannot be used as a guarantee for admission.
