B.E. in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2026
4.2
College with the best faculty.
Placements: 67 percent of the students are placed in my course. The highest package is offered by JP Morgan at 19.75 LPA, and the lowest package offered by a startup is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include JP Morgan, Capgemini, Accenture, Infosys, and TCS. Around 85 percent of students from my course get internships at companies like Solutions Pvt Ltd, Capgemini, etc. Roles offered include software engineer, system analyst, data analyst, IT associate, and quality assurance.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are very well maintained and clean. When I joined in 2023 (direct second year), the labs had slow-performing computers, but they have been updated now. Although wireless Wi-Fi is not provided, we are able to use computers in the lab for any assignment work. The quality of the hostel could be better, but it largely depends on previous residents. The canteen is very clean and well-maintained, and medical facilities along with a doctor are available during college hours.
Faculty: One of the best things I love about my college is the faculty. BE in Computer Engineering has the best faculty anyone could ask for, they are very supportive. Though the curriculum alone may not make students fully industry-ready, extra informative sessions are conducted to train students for the industry. The pass percentage is around 75–85 percent. I find exams easy since I make sure I am well prepared.
Other: I chose BE in Computer Engineering. The best thing about my course is the faculty. I wish the syllabus could be updated to include modern software engineering concepts and programs. Events are very well managed, and everyone is given an opportunity to participate. The campus is overall very peaceful, with a garden where students prefer to hang out. The EBC quota helps students get scholarships and pay almost half the fees (around 60,000). Industrial visits are also held as part of extracurricular activities.

B.E. in Electronics and Computer Science - Batch of 2029
4.6
Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placements in 2029, and really good infrastructure.
Placements: In my branch, there is a seat for 60 students and all seats are full, the lowest package is 2 LPA, the average is 4.5 LPA, and the highest is 25 LPA, with companies like Tata, Infosys, Reliance, and other top-tier companies hiring software and hardware engineers.
Infrastructure: The building is fully Wi-Fi enabled, the library quality is very good, the mess and medical room are good, and indoor and outdoor sports facilities are also available.
Faculty: The faculty is very good, explains in an easy-to-understand way, is very qualified and knowledgeable, the course is relevant, the semester level is medium, and the pass percentage is 30 percent if we read and solve all questions from the textbook.
Other: I chose this branch because in the future semiconductor devices will help develop India, and everything from the college side is best, though improvements on their part will be helpful for students.

Many top companies have stopped visiting, and intake has skyrocketed up to 2x.
Placements: The top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, etc. For previous batches, the placement percentage of my branch Comps is 90 percent, but the upcoming year will be disastrous as their intake increases by 2x. Very few got a good internship, mostly people are doing unpaid internships or internship just for accommodation.
Infrastructure: They have well maintained classrooms, a good library with good enough space and lots of books. They have well maintained labs with all necessary equipment. They do not have a campus, grounds or a common room but they prohibit students from going there. They mostly treat common room as a backup room, which is occupied for the whole year.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, all teachers are qualified, but most of them are fresher with experience of 0 to 3 years. Curriculum is outdated and exams are just a waste of time. They mostly focus on outdated curriculum instead of competitive programming, coding and all, they just focus on 2 to 2 page answers for 5 marks.
Other: One of the worst crowds. There are too many lovebirds roaming here and there, disrupting studies in the library.

The college with the best infrastructure has had good placements for the last four years.
Placements: Overall, 60-70% of students get placed in our college, with an average package of 4-5 LPA. The lowest package is 3 LPA, and the highest package is 17-18 LPA by JP Morgan, genuinely, but the college shows 40 LPA, which is off-campus. Internship is decent based on skills. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Flipkart, JP Morgan, Oracle, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is awesome, but of course, very small compared to Pune colleges because of the Mumbai location. The main engineering college has one building that is a seven-floor building. Every classroom is equipped with AC. The campus doesn't have Wi-Fi facilities. Labs are well-equipped with the latest computers and software. There is a big reading room and library with lots of books, and also a reading room in the library, which is both air-conditioned. We have a canteen, and food quality is also decent, but you can also enjoy outside food. The college doesn't limit us to moving. For sports and games, it only has table tennis, carrom, and chess.
Faculty: Teachers are decent and not that qualified, but definitely, they are good and knowledgeable. They teach well; you will feel more like a coaching class than a college because of the teachers. They really teach instead of being a regular old-style college. The syllabus is updated, and minimum examples are provided, like C programming and Java in the first year, with modules named robotics in mechanics. We only have Physics and Chemistry a single time, not in both semesters, and have workshops like PC Assembly, learning Arduino, and AutoCAD, which also helps us to grow and learn.
Other: It has great infrastructure, well-equipped classrooms, labs, cleanliness, and will give a fully developed vibe. It has fests, events every year, and lots of clubs. The campus is located in a developed area (Thakur Village), which has a nearby cinema, malls, lots of street food, Domino's, Starbucks, and many other things.

Strong academics and infrastructure, placement is improving.
Placements: 75% students from the IT branch got placed. The highest package offered is 10.7 LPA at Flipkart, while the lowest package stood at about 3 LPA. Most offers are in the 4 to 6.5 LPA range. Top recruiters for IT included Capgemini, TCS Ninja, ICICI Lombard, Accenture, Saint Gobain, Infosys Special Programmer, Flipkart, Blackcurrant Apps, and more. While placements are decent, there is still scope for improvement in bringing more core IT companies and increasing the average packages. The placement process is still going.
Infrastructure: The college has well maintained classrooms equipped with projectors and boards, providing a good learning environment. Wi-Fi is available in specific areas such as the canteen and department buildings, though not across the entire campus. The canteen food is decent and reasonably priced. Medical facilities are available on campus, and the sports and games facilities are excellent for students.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and very helpful, making learning easier and effective. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry and well structured. The college is autonomous, the exam pattern is student friendly, and it is relatively easier to pass the semester exams with consistent preparation.

Thakur College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: In the batch of 2025, 391 students are placed, mainly from IT, COMPS, AIML, and AIDS branches, with very few from CIVIL and MECH branches. Top recruiters are VIC IT Consultancy and J. P. Morgan, and a total of 48 companies visited the campus. The highest package is 20 LPA, offered by J. P. Morgan.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is top-notch. Compared to the feel of the college, the infrastructure is very good. There are 3 hostels of the college which are outside the campus, and only 1 of them has very luxurious infrastructure but is also expensive, the rest 2 are typical hostels. Wi-Fi is not provided in the hostels, but it is available on campus, though only for a limited time.
Faculty: Faculty depends on your department. For the IT department, the faculty are very helpful and give free marks in exams. The semester exams are very easy. Faculty provide a Question Bank, and there is a very high chance of questions coming from that question bank, with the level of questions being very simple.
Other: Regarding my college from the MHT CET examination, the subjects for my course are quite easy, but the machines are quite outdated, and the technology taught is a little outdated. For example, the microprocessors taught are quite old. The events in this college are very nice. The ZEPHYR event is held very well with a DJ Night at the end of the fest, and various fests are organized, including gaming and cultural ones.
