Tolani Maritime Institute offers PG-level MSc courses. This course is offered in two specialisations namely, Marine Engineering and Technical Shipment. The duration for each specialisation is one-year. TMI has a collaboration with the University of Strathclyde, located in Glasgow UK. A part of this course will be taught at TMI and the remaining at the University of Strathclyde. After the completion of the 16 weeks of the MSc (Marine Engineering/ Technical Shipment) course at TMI, students can get direct admission to the second semester of the course at the University of Strathclyde for a duration of 8 weeks. 

The tuition fee for one-year MSc courses at TMI is INR 3 lakh. This fee is taken from unofficial sources and hence, is indicative. The tuition fee is the same for both the MSc specialisations, i.e., Marine Engineering and Technical Shipment. There will be additional charges for on-campus single accommodation. The food charges are also excluded. Apart from this, to study at Strathclyde, students have to pay a separate tuition fee along with side charges for boarding and lodging. 

To get admission to MSc course at TMI, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed by the institute. Aspirants must graduate with minimum 60% aggregate in BTech Marine Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Nautical Technology/ Naval Architecture/ Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering. Else, candidates having a three-year Diploma as Deck/ Engine Room Officer or BSc in Nautical Science with a minimum of 60% average with Class I Certificate of Competency as Master/ Chief Engineer may also apply for this course. To study at an international university, they must qualify the English language in IELTs with a score of 6.5 (no element below 5.5) or equivalent.

The IMU CET online application form is expected to be released soon. The official date for application form and other events will be announced by the Indian Martime University. Candidates can apply for IMU CET 2026 through online mode only. The link is made available on IMU’s website. The IMU CET online application form consists of three portions:

• Payment Details

Candidates have to fill in these three portions. Once the payment is successful, the candidate’s dashboard will appear, from which they can download the filled-in application.

To join Tolani Maritime Institute, first of all, you need to maintain a minimum percentage in 12th standard i.e., 60%  in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry thereafter you need to have a good score in English i.e., a minimum 50%. And finally, TMISAT cut-off marks is 27 out of 60. For getting admission in Tolani Maritime Institute - TMI in different branches or courses they have different eligibility criteria in their TMISAT. Tolani Maritime Institute offers admission on the basis of entrance. Candidates must secure valid scores in 2 accepted entrance exams, IMU CET and TMISAT.
