Enjoyed my B.Tech life both in studies and games.
Placements: A good number of placements are there for all courses. Placement coordinators play their role well. One can join this college for both studies and placement. Multinational companies are also approached by our college about taking students for their companies. This is all about our campus placements.
Infrastructure: Hostel food is good value for money. One can join a college hostel because it is better than outside PG hostels. A clean atmosphere is present in our college rooms. The ground facility is there for playing a vast number of games. Wardens take care of students.
Faculty: The faculty is good and exams are conducted strictly. Teachers are helpful in solving our doubts. Industry knowledge is not provided adequately. Exams are conducted in a good manner without malpractice. This is all about the faculty curriculum and exam courses at our college.

All branches are good except for the petroleum engineering course.
Placements: Placements in our college are good in the software field. In petroleum engineering, there are no placements in oil fields. You should get a good rank in GATE, or else you should get placement in the software field. Many companies visit our college for placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available all around the campus. The whole campus is good. Labs and the library are awesome. In the central library, you will get many books and journals. In hostels, the rooms and mess food is above average. The canteen is available. For sports, there is an indoor stadium and a huge stadium.
Faculty: All branches of our university have excellent faculty members and professors. In our branch, there are no PhD professors. Only M.Tech faculty members are available. You should put effort into studying GATE exams for those who are passionate about oil fields.

The college is really good in infrastructure and facilities. I'm very satisfied with college life.
Placements: The minimum academic percentage of students is 70%. Students can find jobs in NFCL, chemical industries and pharma companies. Internships are based on the interest of students, and they can do an internship in the third year of the second semester. In jobs, some best roles are provided.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is average. First-year and third-year hostels are not much good, but JNTUK is planning to build a new hostel for the first year. Second-year and final year hostels are the best with a free Wi-Fi facility. Sports are always encouraged in our college.
Faculty: The faculty members in our college are good. In the first year, the faculty members are from other departments, whereas from the second year onwards, core faculty members conduct classes. There are many good professors in the college for every department.

It is a highly recommended college because you can learn and earn along with lots of enjoyment.
Placements: In our stream, there are plenty of core jobs as compared to software jobs. Our university offers placements from the top MNCs and Navaratna companies which is a core company. Recently 15 seniors out of 46 got placed in TCS, and 1 student got placed in Infosys with an average salary package of 6.5-8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The overall college infrastructure is good. It has a park on the campus where you can spend your evenings with peace. Surroundings are lush green. Library facilities are awesome, and it is huge. You can find many sources. It has a digital library, and there are a lot of computers with 24x7 Wi-Fi facility. Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the campus even in the hostel. Sports and ground are superb, and there are all types of games materials, cricket net practice and an indoor stadium for badminton students. Hostel food is of average quality.
Faculty: All faculty members are highly experienced and qualified. You have to behave sincerely with faculty members. Otherwise, you have to suffer. In every department, there is a seminar hall like a mini auditorium where you have knowledge sharing session every week. Industrial visits are provided in the first year, and in 3rd year, they provide industrial tours to North India.
Other: It is a government university. If you interact with professors, then you can achieve success along with the knowledge.

It is the best college in Andhra Pradesh.
Placements: Placements are quite good at our college. The maximum number of students got placed from our batch this year. Companies that visit here are always regular and ensure their presence every year. Companies like Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant and many others hire many students from our college.
Infrastructure: Hostel rooms are quite neat. Buildings of the hostel are old, but the academic buildings are quite modernised and good to reside. Food and other related facilities are also appreciable. Food is served 4 times a day, but there is not much variety which is the only demerit of the college.
Faculty: Teachers here are quite helpful and assist in all scenarios. They also follow good means in the evaluation procedure. Classes are conducted on a regular basis without any ambiguity, and it is the merit of the college that we are given both theoretical and practical knowledge. I am completely satisfied with the education methods.
Other: Any fests are not conducted in the college as a whole, but individually fests are conducted for each department. There is a lot of fun and frolic with all the activities.

Q:   Which has better placement at University College of Engineering, Kakinada, B.Tech CSE or B.Tech ECE?
A:

Few product-based and core-sector organizations visit JNTUK to recruit students; consequently, relatively few people are placed.

The majority of those in the jntuk will be visited and recruited by service-based IT enterprises. But they will interview and hire candidates regardless of the technical field. However, everything relies on the students that showed up for the placement. Most likely, the top 5 branches have 20 to 35 individuals.

Computer Science engineering would come up when discussing IT employment.

The total number of placements in each field, including core employment and IT, varies from year to year. 2017 saw a respectable amount of placements for CSE, Civil, and ECE.

Q:   How is CGPA calculated in University College of Engineering, Kakinada - Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada?
    A:

The CGPA provided for a student by JNTUK is the Cumulative grade point for a student’s overall performance throughout all the semesters in a program. The CGPA is calculated by taking into account all the courses undergone by a student in all the semesters of a programme, i.e. CGPA = Σ (Ci X Si) / ΣCi Where Si is the SGPA of the ith semester and Ci is the total number of credits in that semester.

As per the B.Tech (R16) academic regulations of JNTUK, Kakinada, the following is
the procedure for the computation of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

    SGPA (Si) = Σ (Ci X Gi) / Σ Ci

Where Ci is the number of credits of the ith course and Gi is the grade point
scored by the student in the ith course.

The CGPA is calculated by taking into account all the courses undergone by
a student in all the semesters of a programme, i.e.

    CGPA = Σ (Ci X Si) / Σ Ci

Where Si is the SGPA of the ith semester and Ci is the total number of
    credits in that semester.

The equivalent percentage can be calculated as per the below formula for the
B.Tech students who obtains their degrees under R16 regulations ie. 2016-17
admitted batch onwards (2017-18 batch onwards for lateral entry scheme).

    Equivalent Percentage = (CGPA – 0.75) X 10
