UIET, Kurukshetra College review of the year 2025.
Placements: Average package of our college is 5-7 LPA. Highest package of the year 2025 is 11.4 LPA, given by BEL. Approximately 220 students are placed in the year 2025. Some of the recruiters are BEL JBM, ABACA, Infosys, Academor, Cognizant, and many more. Check out the official placement page of UIET Kurukshetra on uiet.kuk.ac.in.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is installed in the whole campus, and classrooms are good, but they have no AC. Labs are Air Conditioned. Hostel facilities are good, fee of hostel is Rs. 12,840 yearly, and Rs. 8,450 for BPL card holders yearly, and mess fee is around Rs. 3,000 per month. Mess food is average. All hostels have a separate mess, so the food in all messes varies, but the price remains the same.
Faculty: Faculty is good, a few teachers like Rahul Gupta sir, Varsha Rani mam, and Dr. Amandeep sir are good teachers and also support students. Course syllabus is updated, and NEP is also followed in our college. One of the best features of our college is that you can give a compartment exam of odd semester in even semester and vice versa. My course is CSE (AI & ML), you will learn about DAA, DSA, OOP, Python, ML, DL, Advanced ML, etc.
Other: There are many fests organized in our college, like Excelsior ( technical fest ), Diwali Haat, Ratnawali, etc. Nearby famous locations are Brahma Samovar, NIT Kurukshetra, Jyotisar, Museums, and Many old temples.

Good placements, supportive faculty members, and decent infrastructure at UIET Kurukshetra.
Placements: I am part of the B.Tech ECO at UIET Kurukshetra. Around 85% of students in our course got placed. The highest package offered is 28 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is 7 LPA. Top recruiters included Infosys, Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, and Cognizant. About 70% of students received internships in reputed companies like DRDO, Wipro, Cognizant, and startups. Top roles offered are software development engineer (SDE), quality analyst, data analyst, and system engineer. The placement process is smooth and well-managed by the training and placement cell.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of UIET Kurukshetra is modern and well-equipped. College has smart classrooms, advanced labs, a central library with digital resources, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms, 24X7 security, mess, water purifiers, and sports amenities.
Faculty: Faculty members at UIET Kurukshetra are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable, with many holding PhDs. The teaching quality is decent, with a focus on core concepts and practical learning. B.Tech CSE curriculum is regularly updated to include industry-relevant topics like AI, ML, data science, and web development, which helps students become job-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult, students who attend classes and study regularly can score well. The pass percentage is around 90-95%, indicating most students clear exams with ease if they stay consistent throughout the semester.

This is a government university, and that is a good thing.
Placements: Around 50 percent of students who have a decent CGPA get placed. The lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. The highest package till now is 45 LPA. Companies that visit are Infosys, TCS, Yamaha, Wipro, and many more. Internships are just okay.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay, like average. Classrooms can be better. The library is good but not always open. Hostels are also good. There is a common market for girls in girls' hostels, but all things are not available. Medical facilities are below average. We also have a gym there. Overall, hostel facilities are average.
Faculty: Teachers only waste our students' time. Many teachers don't come to class on time. The teaching quality is low, and only some teachers are good. Semester exam checking is very strict and always tries to make a student fail for money only.
Other: I chose this course because this university is government and the fees are also decent. Fests happen very rarely. Clubs are not active. Overall, the rating is just average.

Practical exposure and lab work should be improved.
Placements: Around 5% of students from my course got placed, with Panacea being one of the top recruiting companies. The average package offered is around 4 LPA. Approximately 80% of students received internships, though most are through smaller or less well-known companies.
Infrastructure: Kurukshetra University offers good infrastructure for academics and student life. Classrooms are clean and smart-enabled, with Wi-Fi across campus. Labs are mostly well-equipped, and the library is spacious with a wide range of resources. Hostels are decent with basic amenities and regular cleaning. Mess food is okay but repetitive, while the canteen offers better options. The campus has medical facilities and a health center with doctors. Sports facilities include a gym, swimming pool, and various courts. Overall, the university provides a balanced environment for study and growth, with good facilities for a government institution, though some areas need improvement.
Faculty: The teachers at Kurukshetra University are helpful, qualified, and have good knowledge of their subjects. The teaching quality is decent, though it can vary by department. The course curriculum is mostly relevant and covers the basics needed for industry, but it may lack some practical exposure. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty. Exams are not too hard if you study regularly.
Other: I chose B.Teach in Biotechnology because I was interested in research and the Science behind how things work at the cellular level. The best part about this course is that it includes subjects related to research, genetics, microbiology, and advanced technologies, which are interesting. However, I feel the course needs more practical exposure and hands-on lab experience. More industry visits, live projects, and real lab work would make learning better and help students understand how to apply their knowledge in real-world situations.

Overall, it is an average college.
Placements: According to the data, almost all students get placed, especially students whose CGPA is good. The highest package is 42 LPA. The average package is 6 LPA. The lowest package is 3 LPA. Companies that visit our college for placements are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Byju's, etc. Students apply for off-campus placement to get a good package. Internships are done by referrals and with skills.
Infrastructure: As the institute is a government so facilities are average. The infrastructure or building is okay, in terms of looks. It provides facilities like Wi-Fi, a library, and good labs. The library is good according to the environment and infrastructure. The quality of hostels is good. There is also a reading room inside the hostel. It provides a gym for girls separately. Medical facilities are not very good. There is a sports complex also for both girls and boys.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. Some teachers are very helpful and give guidance. They also provide a roadmap for the future. But some of them teach their subjects only. But the overall faculty members are good. The course curriculum is okay. I am personally not satisfied with the course curriculum. The difficulty level of the semester exams totally depends on the teacher to teacher. But the checking is very strict. The pass criteria are to score 28 marks in each subject to pass.
Other: The most important factor in choosing this college is that the fee is good compared to other colleges. It is also a government institute. My course is also available here. I want to improve the hygiene first. That is washrooms are not clean many times. Clubs are not very active. In fact, my stream club, that is Hail Jarvis, is not active. Events and fests are sometimes organised. It also provides scholarships.

College is good to join if you are not able to take the admission in IIT and NIT.
Placements: The overall percentage of placement in college is not bad, but we want more placement opportunities. According to my knowledge, the highest package in my presence is about 11 lakhs per annum. According to the 2024-2025 session, main recruiters are Infosys, ABACA System, etc.
Infrastructure: On the college campus, there is a complete facility of Wi-Fi for all the students of the institute with a prescribed ID and password for every individual. Labs are fully furnished with a good environment for our practical knowledge. Hostels are very well furnished, and the environment is also very nice in hotels.
Faculty: Teachers of this institution are very well-behaved and very helpful in nature, and they always support students in their studies. They don't only focus on academic knowledge, but they also teach us about our day-to-day new things, which help us in our counseling. The exam pattern is also relevant for all.
Other: Placement in Electronics and Communication Engineering branch is not so good.
