B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2022
3.8
A reputed engineering college in Bhopal.
Placements: The placement percentage of our college in my course was around 70–80 percent. The highest package offered in my course was about 12 LPA. The average package was around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Accenture, IBM, Capgemini, etc. Below 40% of students secured internship offers as well.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course were good. A library was present on the college campus, along with digital classrooms and a step-up desk. Limited sports facilities were available. Basic medical facilities like a first aid box and generic medicines were also available.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective domains of education. The teaching quality of our faculty members was better than that of many colleges. The course curriculum was relevant. The semester examination was of a moderate level. Students had to prepare for the exam.

Absolutely satisfied with the college.
Placements: Around 80-90% of students were placed in our course. The highest package offered in our course was 32 LPA. The average package was around 6 LPA - 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Bharat Electronics, Qualcomm, etc. 30-40% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course were good. Wi-Fi was available at the college. Library was available on the college campus. The quality of facilities available in the hostel was also good. Purified drinking water was available. We had clean washrooms and toilets.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their field. The teaching quality of our faculty members was great. Course curriculum was relevant. College helped students in training real-life projects. Semester examination at our college was quite tough.

I am dissatisfied with the faculty members and institute support. Placements are average.
Placements: Particularly in electronics and communication engineering, 40-50% of students get on-campus placements. The highest package is 15 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. TCS, Havells, Appointy, Persistent, HCLTech, and Cognizant are top recruiting companies. No on-campus internships are offered in our branch, and we don't receive attendance for the internship duration if we do it off-campus. The top roles offered are mainly SDE, or if we talk about core, then Junior Plant Project Engineer and Wind Plant Engineer.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi available, classroom infrastructure isn't newly built. There are no air-conditioned and smart board facilities. A central library is available with a vast book collection. Hostel infrastructure is good, with a hostel fee of Rs.400 per month only for a stay. The mess food is very bad in taste and quality, almost negligible game and sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are not very familiar, but if we go and ask them, they support and guide us. Classes are not regular. Opting for ECE at UIT RGPV is a wise option. Semester exams are very difficult. Passing marks are 33/105, but if we don't pass midterms, the passing marks increase to 47/105.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am oriented towards GATE and want to work in the core field. Things to improve classes should be regular. Mainly, 2-3 fests are organized by students only, with no faculty or institute support. Scholarships are annually provided without any issues.

Get insights of UIT RGPV, Bhopal.
Placements: You can be eligible in your 3rd and 4th year for the placements. Before 2024, there were plenty of companies visiting here, but as of now, there are only non-tech companies and very few tech companies. TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bajaj Finserv, Hexaware, Appointy, Wipro, and a few more local companies visit here. The average package for EC is 3-4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college is huge and departments are also well-equipped. The library is one of the biggest libraries in Madhya Pradesh. The girls' hostels are decent, and the rooms allotted are quite big and airy. You'll get a bed, a table, and a chair, but no almirahs as of now. The meal quality is okayish. You have to fill a hostel form after coming here and deposit a caution money of 4000 and a semester's fee in advance to get a room. The washrooms are not attached. The hostels are affordable. You have to pay 400 Rs. per month. You can also rent a room locally nearby in Lalghati or Karond easily. Hostel Fee: INR 4800 per year.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly educated and teach well, but it eventually depends on your thirst for knowledge and your interest in the respective subject to gain more insights and command over your respective subjects. There is one teacher for every 50-60 students. You can approach any teacher easily, and they are also willing to solve all your doubts. The faculty is supportive. Exams are easy to pass even if you study 2-3 days sincerely.
Other: No big fests. So don't expect much from the college. And no convocation ceremony. The college is 10-15 km away from the main city. So if you live in the city, you have to travel a lot. There are 2-3 fests annually, and they are also average, not that great. Fests like Shankhnad, etc. happen, and there is a sports fiesta called MahaSangram. The library is decent. There are a lot of books, and you can easily go and study there quietly. There is a big sports complex in the college. There are a few clubs like dance, singing, art club, etc., but they are not that active. The things I wish would be better are that more emphasis can be given on practically performing things and experimenting rather than just preparing for theory. If you want more practical knowledge, you have to be eager and put in efforts all by yourself. There are three mid-term exams and one end-semester exam every semester.

Is UIT-RGPV literally worth it now? Full review of the college.
Placements: The average package of the college is around 4-5 LPA. It is good because of less tuition fee of the college. One student got placed in Google with a package of 44 lacs per annum. It was the highest placement our college ever got. Many more companies visit to recruit the students from every branch. All the branches have a good placements record.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There are many buildings in the campus with each branch having it's own building. The building of my course is in good condition now with regular maintenance. The hostel is not so good, you will face some difficulties living in the college hostel. I don't live in the college hostel, I stay in a private hostel near Indrapuri. I also suggest you to not live in the college hostel, but if you want to experience it, you can stay there. Also, the food in the mess is also not good in the college hostel. Overall, the infrastructure of our course is good.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is very good and nice to everyone. But the faculty members are not so good and are rude as well. Every college has a mixup of things. Every teacher is well qualified and very knowledgeable and also very helpful. Their teaching skills are very good and also some teachers are not so good, every branch has these types of teachers. The semester exams are a lit bit difficult because they are of 105 marks. The passing score is 33. The curriculum of course is not so relevant, they are teaching old machines that are or no use nowadays. You need to study the new machines and technology by yourself and then you can be ready for today’s competition.

Overall, my college is best and affordable.
Placements: Approximately 40 percent of the students were placed in my college in this year. The highest package offered was45 lacs, the lowest package was 4 lacs with the average package offered being 8 lacs. Approximately 50% students got internships from my course in many companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good. There are many courses such as ECE, EEE, IT, CS etc. The labs and classes are good along with a very big library. There is a central library and also a departmental library present in each department. The mess is also good.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and also knowledgeable. The teaching quality of some teachers is very good. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry ready.
Other: There is no issue of attendance in my branch and the faculty members are also supportive of competitive exams like GATE ESE and other engineering exam.

Strong industry ties, modern labs with qualified faculty, balancing theory and practice, etc.
Placements: 1. Students who were placed in our course: 55% 2. The highest package is 18 lacs, the lowest package is 3.5 lacs, and the average package is 5 lacs in the electronics and communication department. 3. IT and Software : TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL Technology, IBM, etc. are top recruiting companies. 4. Almost everyone gets an internship in an IT company; few companies come to our college for core-related internship.
Infrastructure: Campus: 257-acre campus with dedicated buildings for different department. The classroom are well- equipped with modern technology. There is an RGPV central library with a vast collection of books, the biggest library and many types of books available. UIT RGPV is known for its well-equipped labs .
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The department employs a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning style. These include lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, project works and seminars. The department provides various forms of support to students. The semester exams in this college are not difficult and I'm not sure of the passout percentage but approximately 80% of students pass .
Other: Many students are drawn to EC courses because of their interest in the latest gadgets, device and communication technologies. Technical skills are crucial, developing soft skills like communication, teamwork and problem-solving is equally important for success in the professional world.
