The UPES Admission Office is not a department for studying but rather a administrative unit responsible for handling admissions-related processes and inquiries from prospective students. Therefore, you do not study within the Admission Office itself.

When you enroll at UPES and become a student, you will study within one of UPES's academic schools or departments, depending on the programme or field of study you choose. UPES offers a wide range of academic programs in areas such as engineering, business, law, design, and more. Your experience as a student at UPES will depend on the specific school or department you are part of, the faculty, curriculum, resources, and facilities available.

UPES (Admission Office) accepts various entrance exam scores for admission to different courses. For B.Tech. admissions, the university accepts UPESEAT, JEE, Board Merit, SAT, and CUET scores. For MBA admissions, the university accepts CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT, and UPESMET scores. Admission to M.Des. and B.Des. courses is based on the valid score of CEED or UPES DAT followed by a presentation and interview. BBA admission is done through UPESMET-UG and through National Level Tests. Admission for LLB courses is based on the score of ULSAT or CLAT/LSAT scores. BTech is one of the top courses of UPES Dehradun. As per NIRF 2022 rankings, the university was ranked at 61 position under 'Engineering' category. The rankings saw a jump from 91 position in 2021 and 167 position in 2020. Apart from the Engineering course, UPES Dehradun was also the part of NIRF Ranking under 'University' category. Recently, the university also found a place in 'Overall' category of NIRF 2022 rankings. Not only in terms of position, the university also provides excellent placement opportunities to BTech students. As per the latest report, over 250 recruiters participated and presented over 2,000 job offers to the class of 2023. Further, the highest and average package offered to School of Computer Science students during UPES placements 2023 stood at INR 36 LPA and INR 8.66 LPA, respectively.
