Review of Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya.
Placements: About 10 to 20 percent of students are placed in different companies with good salary packages. Some of them are highly focused on their jobs and in this field. Students who are willing to join companies get internship opportunities for a maximum of 3 months.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and faculty areas are well decorated with Wi-Fi. The library can also be accessed easily for books in a good reading environment. There are 9 hostels for boys and girls with facilities like sports and a canteen. The food quality in the mess is quite good now.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They always try their level best. In the course, there is a Student Ready Program with a facility of village attachment. Semester exams are quite difficult, but they can be easily overcome with a little effort.
Other: As a whole, we can say that the 4 years of journey help UBKV students at the development of their life, character, motivation, and education.

UBKV at a glance, from campus life to placements.
Placements: Most of the students opt for higher studies, though those students who go for the placement round, most of them get placed in companies like Indorama, Tata Rallies, and NGOs like Pradhan. The average package is 3.6 LPA. The highest package is around 4.8 LPA, and the lowest package is around 2.8 LPA.
Infrastructure: Academic infrastructure is above average, with well-equipped labs and classrooms, but hostel infrastructure is old, that’s why it lacks some facilities like proper indoor games facilities, etc. Mess food is also average. For non-vegetarians it is okay, but for vegetarians, there are not many options available.
Faculty: From the faculty perspective, it is excellent. All the faculty members are knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant to the new education policy. Of course, semester exams are standard if you regularly follow the classes, else, they feel very hard.
Other: Applied knowledge of science, connection with nature, as well as modern technology. As it is a full-time regular course with an average of 21–22 credit hours per semester, with intensive focus on practical learning, it is very difficult to find leisure time for extracurricular activities.

Faculty is approachable and very helpful, with a nice campus and good placement.
Placements: In agriculture, very few students opt for internships or placements. But the placement committee is active. There is a placement and career guidance group that oversees different career goals like JRF, CUET, CAT, JAM.
Infrastructure: Hostels are well maintained and cleaned almost regularly. Authorities concerned with hostels and hostel-related problems visit often. Hostel-related issues are solved almost immediately or very quickly. The mess is good. The ambiance is good. The behaviour of staff, metro, and warden is good.
Faculty: Faculty are very approachable and friendly. Any kind of doubts or queries are appreciated and answered. You can also approach them about your future career plans. Practicals and labs are interesting. They share their experiences and expertise when needed.
Other: Picnics and fests are the best. The campus is very clean and aesthetically appealing. Cultural clubs (art, photography, music, dance, drama, etc.) are also there.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library are all available in the university. The hostel quality is not bad, and the food quality in the mess is good. One medical unit is present in the university. Both indoor and outdoor sports and games facilities are available. Two canteens are also available.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and share their knowledge and experience in a friendly way. Different types of subjects, practicals, and training make the students ready for jobs. I am satisfied with the value for money.
Placements: 10–20 percent of students are placed in this course. The highest package is 4.8 LPA, and the median is 3.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TATA Rallies Pvt Ltd, Mankind Agritech Private Limited, Indorama, etc. These companies provide internships to almost 30 percent of students. They usually recruit field agents for the company.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, though it can be better. Wi-Fi is actually good. Labs are moderate, and the library is top-notch. In the hostel, free Wi-Fi, water, and electricity are available. The food in the mess is good currently. Canteens are moderate. There is a medical unit, which is average, but the gym, badminton court, and playground are very good.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. Most of them are well-qualified, and some teachers teach exceptionally well. This is the most sought and relevant course right now, and it makes the students ready for the industry. The semester exams are moderately difficult, and the passing percentage is approximately 70 percent.
Other: We are the batch of 2022–26, and this course actually teaches us about agriculture and allied sectors. The practical implementation of this course should be more than the theoretical aspects. There are many extracurricular activities in our university, like cultural programs, debates, quizzes, etc. The campus and surroundings are beautiful, and there is one college fest every year (annual cultural programme or social).

UBKV is very good, I am extremely happy with the teaching, social, and sport facilities.
Placements: The placement opportunity is average. Nearly 30 percent of students got placed this year in different agriculture companies. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. The companies are UPL, INDORAMA, TATA RALLIES, PRADAN, etc. About 70 percent of students get internships in marketing roles.
Infrastructure: The university has very good internet facilities and well-equipped classrooms with smartboards, tables, and chairs. The labs are very good in some departments, such as Soil Science, Entomology, and Pathology. The library is excellent and has numerous books, journals, e-books, etc. Each hostel has its own mess, and the food is very good. Hostels also have good Wi-Fi connections and well-maintained bathrooms. Cultural activities are very good, and there is a gym as well as excellent sports grounds for every type of sport.
Faculty: Teachers are very good in their respective subjects, and their method of teaching is very student-friendly. They give equal attention to every student. The course is very relevant to today's activities and sustainability for the recent generation. The practical knowledge and teaching are very good. The quality of semester exams depends on the course you are giving, and the pass rate is 98 percent.
Other: I want to learn smart agriculture and help the sustainability of resources, so I chose this course. Events, fests, and campus crowd are very good.
