LL.B. - Batch of 2019

Best university in Chennai.
Placements: From 3rd semester of B.A. LL.B. and 1st semester of LL.B. students get placement in very good companies and social welfare organizations. Our students get 4 Lacs per year placement in many companies. More than 30% of students get placement in many companies. My plan after getting the degree is to become a lawyer for Patna High Court and also want to become a judges.
Infrastructure: The hostel is well maintained. The hostel rooms are available on a sharing basis. There is no ragging in the hostel. The wardens and the hostel staff are very professional and supportive. The mess food quality is very good. The menu comprises veg and non-veg food. The hostel is equipped with 24 hours of high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity. The hostel provides us with all kinds of modern facilities and amenities according to our comfort. Hostel Fee: INR 65000 per year.
Faculty: I chose this course because I want to be a litigant in the criminal field. The faculty-student Ratio is an average of 1:40. Qualification of faculty members is excellent most of them are renewed personalities in the field of academics, and most of them hold a masters degree from abroad Universities. They have good teaching methods we have case-based law study which is Excellent and not provided in other universities and which make us special as compared to other law school. The term exam is conducted 2 times in a year I. e. two semesters in one year, the difficult level is moderate to difficult if paid attention can be cracked. Class size;-70 Course feels;-INR 80000 per year.

I am satisfied with this college but need a change in infrastructure.
Placements: Our college provides good placements. After completing your degree, you can choose to practice or work in a company.
Infrastructure: A library is available. You need to show your ID card to access books. There is a digital library. You can utilise it for your college projects. The quality of the food in the hostel is not good.
Faculty: All teachers are friendly and very flexible with students. You need to complete internships that give you exposure. Semester exams are conducted by the university only. The course curriculum is relevant. Exams are not difficult.
Other: Our college conducts so many programs, but for the law department, there are only a few events. This course helps us understand the law. The management gives scholarships to rank-holders.

I am satisfied but the infrastructure can be improved!
Placements: As far I know there's no placements happening now. But earlier there were placements from German Company. After completing your degree you can choose to practice or take up a job in a company. There's also an option of becoming a legal advisory, arbitrator, legal officer etc. If you are undecided then its completely fine, the teachers will guide you if you ask them.
Infrastructure: There's library present in the campus, you need your ID card to enter. You can work inside the library on your college projects and ask for the Wi-Fi from the librarian. You can use the books for reference. The food at the hostel is very bad, and you're not allowed to have any equipments which allows you to make food by yourself. Do not rely on the hostel food. There's a medical room within the campus.
Faculty: All the teachers are friendly and very flexible working with students. All the subjects are related to the course that we take. Overall the teaching quality is good? We also have to complete our internships in different fields, which allows us to have an exposure of every area possible.
Other: There are few events that take place in Vels, any student who is interested can participate. There are also competitions within the department and inter department. Interested ones can participate. During peak hours it is very troublesome to get into the college due to traffic and overcrowding, there's very few canteen inside so sometimes we have to wait a little longer for food. There are 7 types of scholarships offered by Vels. They are: VSAT Merit First Graduate Sports Alumni Ex Servicemen Artist Association.

Absolutely satisfied with college life.
Placements: A minimum of 60% of students got placed. The placements are extremely good, and I have been doing an internship for a month every year. You can choose B.A. LL.B here.
Infrastructure: The library is good, especially for the law department. There are numerous books related to each subject with deep and clear instructions. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned with smart class facilities. The hostel is bad, and the food is the worst. You can go for rooms outside.
Faculty: Teachers and teaching methods are extremely good. They teach us using PPTs, and a lot of study materials will be given to you. During exams, they will help you study in an easy manner. The pass percentage is 40%, including internal marks.
Other: A sports day is conducted every year. Nakshatra is a big university fest conducted twice a year.

It is a good college as the rules are regulations are easy to follow.
Placements: The previous batch had placements in well-reputed companies. There were no placements not even a campus interview. Otherwise, the facilities and coaching were good. They had even collected a fee for placements but no placements were conducted.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was well maintained but it was a small campus as compared to other colleges. Wi-Fi was free to use after login which takes a process of 2 or 3 days for registration. Moot court halls were good compared to the real court halls. All India-level competitions were held every year.
Faculty: Faculty members were less age staffs who have interest in teaching as they select only the deserving candidates. The curriculum was average, as they support every talented student in this university. Semester exams were as usual like every deemed university.

My experience at VISTAS is about learning, living, and growth.
Placements: About 85% of students get placed. The highest package is 33 LPA, and the average is 4.5 LPA. The top companies include Amazon, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, HCL, Cognizant, and IBM. Around 60% of students also receive internships from companies such as Amazon, Capgemini, and Deloitte.
Infrastructure: Campus-wide Wi-Fi is available. 2,800 computers and laptops, 125 printers, and 275 LCD screens, with each classroom equipped with projectors. The centrally automated library spans 20,000 sq ft and offers seating for 500. The collection includes over 120,000 printed books, 140,000 e-books, thousands of back volumes, dissertations, audio-visual materials, and subscriptions to domestic and international journals. The campus also has good, hygienic hostels and mess facilities. First aid rooms are available on campus in case of emergencies. Three canteens are serving delicious food, along with a bank/ATM, transport fleets, parking, and green spaces.
Faculty: Faculty is very helpful, and the teaching quality is high. Most are well-qualified, with many holding PhDs and having substantial teaching experience. They prepare students for real-life challenges. The difficulty of courses ranges from easy to challenging. The pass percentage generally falls between 70% and 90%, with some outliers.
Other: I chose B.A. LL.B. (Hons) in Law. The coaching style is excellent, and the faculty is friendly. They conduct moot court competitions and encourage us to participate in events at other colleges. They give equal importance to traditional festivals like Onam, Pongal, and others. Multiple scholarships are available, and there is also a special VSAT examination for scholarships.
