Good campus life but they should include more industry time.
Placements: Minimum placements were allocated to our branch and not in our core department. Our batch of students was going for higher studies and abroad so the placement percentage was low and also the students with arrears were not allowed in placements. But the recruiting was mainly for IT openings in TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Sutherland. The mechanical students were selected for those also with ECE & CSE students. Our batch got an internship in several companies like Cochin shipyard, KSRTC Maintenance Shop, and Keltron.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was nice, our block was new so that we have all the new features and the Wi-Fi is placed on every floor with the help of access points. Classroom structures were good and helpful to make presentations. Classes Canteen was also nice and clean but it was located a bit far because they wanted to use it for both academic block and hostel.
Faculty: The teachers were really helpful and they were well qualified. The teaching quality was very good because of that. The course curriculum was good by adding some MBA subjects to the mechanical engineering course and making a new branch of Production Engineering. Exams were tough enough to get passed, an average student with average marks in school exams can pass this semester's exams with accurate planning and management of topics. Because the important topics have higher marks and you have to grasp them then there are no issues.
Other: I chose this because of the vast opportunities in this course unfortunately this particular course is not there in this college right now. They have to add some more industry experience by adding some more internship duration to the course. The events and other extracurricular activities are the best in college and I was a volunteer in NSS, so I had so many friends in college from other branches and college is the best to make connections.

The infrastructure is good and the placements are not good for 2018.
Placements: Our batch got placed in companies like TCS. But for this course, our college did not provide any core company placements. The top recruiting company was TCS and around 30% of students got placed. There were no placements offered for our course. Almost 100% of students got internships at various companies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms, library, laboratories, hostel, and infrastructure were good. There was no access to Wi-Fi for students. But the campus was Wi-Fi enabled. Hostel facilities were good for both boys and girls. Food was average. Sports and games activities were provided every year.
Faculty: Faculty members were good and qualified. Most of them had done Ph.D. They maintain a healthy relationship with the students and very much helpful. The semester exams were easy, but the pass percentage was low. The course curriculum was relevant and it gives the students knowledge about industrial area.
Other: I chose production engineering so that I would get a job in manufacturing sector. Events, fests, and extra curricular activities were the best in this college.

Everything about VAST is good except for the placements.
Placements: Only 2 companies visited the campus for placements. One was TCS for IT technical profile, and another one was TVS Sundaram Fasteners for which students had to go to Chennai to give interviews. The placement scenario at Vidya is poor considering the fee structure for 4 years.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and facilities are of good quality. Cleanliness is maintained. The whole campus and bathrooms are cleaned at least twice every day. The campus has modern classrooms. The auditorium is one of the best in Kerala.
Faculty: The college is great regarding the course curriculum and faculty. Every faculty member is enthusiastic about teaching young minds. The course and syllabi followed are designed by APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. Classes are not too hectic, and the schedule is appropriate. Only a few part-time guest lecturers don't seem to know what they're doing. All the experienced teachers are great.
Other: Various fests such as Vyvidh are conducted in the college. There are various important workshops and training programmes as well.

Good college if you are looking to become an engineer with good teachers and good infrastructure.
Placements: Talking about placements they are doing good to get the good companies. Placement cell is very cooperative and helpful. Atleast 50 to 80 students get placed there. One of the main recruiter is TCS when I was studying there. Overall a good place meant cell.
Infrastructure: One of the college with good infrastructure like seperate blocks for each department, well equipped workshops, better safety measures, Wi-Fi, gym. Building with good passage of sunlight and air. Properly maintained and hygienic toilets, drinking water facility.
Faculty: All the teachers are helpful and supportive, they are well educated. Most of the faculty members hold Ph.D. Talking about course curriculum they follow university rules. They have additional sessions like placement training classes to make students prepare for the interviews.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty members, infrastructure, and curriculum
Placements: The placements were not good because only software companies visited, that too, just two-three companies.
The packages were not up to the mark.
The highest package was 3.5 lakhs per annum.
Almost 20 students got placed, mostly from EC and CSE streams.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is too good. The classrooms are of a good volume and are fully equipped. The facilities are good.
For sports, they have all the variants and they provide coaching for that too.
The canteen facility is very good.
The hostel room and facilities are too good.
The library and labs facilities are too good.
Faculty: The main plus point is the faculty members.
They are very highly qualified and willing to help to any extent.
Mainly, the teaching method is ppt and lecture based.
The course curriculum is really according to the course and is very helpful to understand and acquire skills.
The workshops are too good and help us to get the industry exposure.
