Faculty: Faculty members are qualified. The course completion is on time with regular internals and labs. In semester exams, the pass percentage is around 60%.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in learning more about machines. Our college conducts tech fest, sports day and art day.

Excellence is a tradition of faculty members of all sorts.
Placements: Almost 79% of the students got placed in MNCs with a high salary package of 25 LPA to 5 LPA correspondingly. Companies that visit here vary from IT to automobile firms like Tata, Eicher, TVS, etc. Almost 100% of the students got internships because 6 months internship is compulsory for us. Top roles offered are QCA, junior engineer, R&D, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has a well-established infrastructure with new EdTech. It is situated in a hilly area with an ambient climate throughout the year. It keeps stimulating everyone mood for studying. The library has plenty of books to refer to. Separate hostel facilities are available for both girls and boys with all new advanced infrastructure. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items are available in the canteen, and medical support is offered all the time. Our college has many volunteers in NSS.
Faculty: If the teachers are not eligible, they are removed. All classrooms are well-equipped, and the mode of teaching is through a projector. The curriculum is lengthy for us, and we need to study a lot within years. Students who passed are in high superficial levels now. Exams are very tough because there are 8 semesters and 56 papers. The pass percentage is 74% or something on a single attempt.
Other: Our college is in a village area with lots of tribals, so charity and volunteer duties are going on. Improvement is only to update new advanced technology features on a daily basis. Our college has inter-university championship winners, and students are also learning with IEEE and attending their workshops, seminars, webinars, etc., with certification. Scholarship facilities are offered for students who are from a low background with no hostel and bus fares.

Really good infrastructure and atmosphere, extracurricular activities not encouraged, average.
Placements: About 25% of the students were only placed. Generally mechanical department has less placements compared to other departments and mainly mechanical placements where in software industries. The highest salary offered was 30000 per month and top recruiting company is TCS.
Infrastructure: The facilities of college is fantastic. There is a large library with great reference books. The classrooms are excellent with good lighting and atmosphere. The ambiance and atmosphere of college is great. There is free Wi-Fi for students but you cannot use phone inside campus. The hostel facilities are good with good food and rooms. Sports and arts are not mainly encouraged as importance is given to academics.
Faculty: The teachers are really good and experienced. The teachers are well reputed and professors are available. The teaching quality is good. The curriculum is not very relevant to industry. It does not offer great jobs as most are theoretical papers. The students and not really industry ready.
Other: The course is actually versatile as mechanical offers a wide range of jobs in aeronautical mechatronics robotics automobile etc. The things to improve would be placement as the placement related to mechanical is almost nil. The extracurricular activities in the college's are very rare and mostly not encouraged. There is sports arts and trchfests for namesakes. Importance is given to academics.

The infrastructure and learning environment are good.
Placements: Vimal Jyothi Engineering College has a fully functional placement cell. The college has a decent record of placements in the previous years. But as far as the mechanical engineering department is concerned, the core companies don't visit the college for recruitment. Most of the companies which offer jobs for mechanical engineering students are IT firms and marketing companies. The average starting salary offered was around Rs. 10,000 per month to Rs. 12,000 per month for freshers including additional benefits. The college encourages students to attend skill training programs and various workshops. Training in HVAC, MEB and other potential job-oriented fields are given to the students at affordable fees. Students are encouraged to do internships, and credit points are awarded for this.
Infrastructure: The college has one of the best infrastructure facilities compared to the private colleges. The campus has a separate 4-storeyed building for mechanical and electronics departments. There are 2 computer labs and 2 CAD labs equipped with high-end technology. High-speed Wi-Fi facility is available in the campus and hostel, but the students are not allowed to bring mobile phones to the classroom, they can avail these facilities with written permission from HOD. Classrooms are well-furnished, and projectors and green boards are available, which are used for teaching. The library has separate sections for the books related to each department and is rich with all kinds of literature and academic books. The canteen serves good and tasty food at low prices and provides many food items for the students to choose. Hostel rooms are usually shared by 4-5 students, and individual beds are available. Rooms are spacious enough to study. There is a large football ground and basketball court, and students can use it for sports activities after the college hours. Sick rooms and first aid rooms are provided for the needy.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and friendly. Teachers do not show partiality and are always available to help every student. All the teachers have at least an M.Tech degree and are fluent in speaking English. Visual mediums like videos and presentations are used to teach the students in addition to the practise sessions. The course curriculum is designed in a systematic manner and assignments are given regularly. There is 1 tutor for every 20 students. Though the learning process is systematic, career-oriented learning is not provided, and industry exposure is not given to the students.
Other: Each department conducts their own tech fest, where the students can showcase their projects and talent. The main problem with the fests is, as they are conducted individually by each department, other departments are sometimes not even given time to explore the fest. Arts and sports days are also conducted once a year. Different scholarships are offered to students, especially the ones from poor backgrounds and Catholic students. Fee waiver is also provided on merit basis.

Good faculty, good infrastructure with excellent study environment with no college politics.
Placements: Placements in our college were average only. Not too good or not too bad. Still it was justifiable as our college was located on a remote place away from the city rush. Our senior batch also got decent placement. College also conducted many placement related training programmes to help the students perform well in the recruitment process.
Infrastructure: College have well built labs, classrooms, library, sports and games facilities. The quality of classrooms and labs were pretty decent. Classrooms are equipped with projector and computer. Practical labs have the equipments to make the learning more easy. Canteen food was also decent. Hostel rooms are clean and nice to live in.
Faculty: The faculty available can be said to be the best available. Its due to the quality of teaching they adopt, they made it to the best. Teachers were well qualified. Teaching methods like practical explainations in the lab made the learning more easy. Industry exposure was average. The course curriculum was pretty good.
Other: College have many extra curricular activities like sports day, cultural fest, tech fest etc.

Good placements, good faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: Placement is provided for almost all students studying im this institution. The placement cell is really taking effort for the same, placement pool drives are also conducted inside the campus. Also they make all arrangements for the students to travel for other placement drives too.
Infrastructure: This is one of the college that provide best infrastructures in our locality. Out of all the colleges, vimal jyothi always stand top because of their top results and facilities provided. Classrooms, labs, workshops, grounds, basketball courts, are all best in class.
Faculty: All the faculty members are M.Tech holders, having great helping mantality. Senior faculty members hold even Ph.D. in various sectors. Their contribution for the prpgress of institution is priceless. All staffs are available all the time even during vacations we can seek their helps.

Satisfied with the infrastructure, teaching, and facilities, but dissatisfied with placement.
Placements: The placement for the mechanical department is comparatively low. Most of the companies visit are from IT field. The companies like IBS, Reliance digital, Sun network etc. reach the college annually. An efficient placement cell is available. The average salary may be Rs. 12000/month.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided include smart classrooms, Wi-Fi campus, library. The canteen is of high quality. The hostel is great when compared to the other hostels in Kerala. The college is not very keen in sports, but it has basketball, volleyball, football, badminton etc.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and well-trained in our department. The notes are provided for each module. Industrial exposure is not exclusively provided. One day-industrial visit will be organised twice in a semester, and 5-day industrial training is compulsory.
Other: Mainly, the events done by technical society like IEEE is conducted in our college. The technical fest is being conducted for every branch in a year. The scholarships are given for students with good KEAM ranks, and minority scholarships are also provided.
