B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2024
3.4
My college review on its infrastructure, placements, and faculty members.
Placements: Only a few students get placed in our batch. Mostly, the computer science department offers more placement. Mahindra company came to our college for placement. I have done my internship at Autokast Private Limited in Cherthala. The highest package was offered by Mahindra.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is almost good. There is Wi-Fi in our department. Classrooms and labs are well facilitated. The library is also nice. Almost all types of books are available in the library. The staff are friendly types, and there is no difficulty for students. The library is well facilitated and has AC.
Faculty: The faculty members are really helpful. They provide enough materials for writing exams. Through thorough reading of their notes, we can surely pass the exams. All are having M.Tech, and few of them have Ph.D.s. Semester exams are a little bit difficult, and the pass mark is 40 out of 100.
Other: Mechanical engineering offers higher opportunities for students. So that I have chosen it. Campus surroundings are good. There are extracurricular activities for students so that their minds get relaxed. The department conducts mech fest every 2 years.

This college is satisfactory wrt studies, more than campus life .
Placements: There are good placements at my college. I am a mechanical student so opportunities in Kerala are limited. So placements are also lower. But overall, placement opportunities are good. Too many placements are coming for the computer science department. I attended two placement programs this year as a final-year mechanical student.
Infrastructure: There are good laboratory facilities, a good canteen, a good hostel, good classrooms, and the overall infrastructure is good. Each class has a projector facility to study. Overall, the college atmosphere here is good for students who plan to study at this college.
Faculty: Every faculty member has proper qualifications. Faculty members are behaving well with students. The curriculum is followed by the rules of Apj Abdul Kallam Technological University, Kerala. Exams are conducted in a regular way and malpractices are not to be entertained.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty .
Placements: No one was placed in my batch from mechanical engineering. Placement were there for CS students. The highest salary is maybe 25,000 per month and the lowest being 8,000 per month. Esaf, Alliance and TCS are the top recruiters. As I said no one was placed from our college in our branch but one guy got placed in Amazon while attending pool interview.
Infrastructure: The department has Wi-Fi but not accessible for students. Labs are okay, classrooms are not that bad, they are okay. Department library is there but I haven't seen anyone there. Hostel food is eatable, canteen food is okay. No importance is given to sports by the management even though we had valuable players who were able to win the university championship.
Faculty: Teachers were qualified and most of them have good knowledge but some of them were creating burden for us they were not at all helpful. Not all of them were like this but some were there, especially, the lady staff in our department. The course curriculum is so poor according to me. It doesn't make us any industry ready.
Other: Mechanical branch is going down in my college. Everyone is opting for CS and AI. And students are getting low marks. Fest and other programs conducted are very rare in my college. They don't promote for programs. Management is greedy.

Review of Sree Buddha College of Engineering (SBCE).
Placements: Placements are good for CS branches, but placements in mechanical fields are very low. If you want to get placements in core mechanical companies, you have to work your way. If you want any support, the facility is there for you, and you could get any help from them.
Infrastructure: The hostel is much less crowded because most people prefer to take the bus. If you have any work or any projects, you could stay at the hostel and enjoy a little.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and friendly. They give more freedom than any other private college. That doesn't mean they will help you. They will tell you how many marks you need to pass internals.
Other: The college gives you the best vibe and education. They do value the money we put in and our efforts.

It doesn't make us any industry-ready.

Nice infrastructure, superb ambience, good choice.
Placements: Placements are just for a name. No core companies came during the process. Only some IT firms came to the college. Salary offered is also too low, some got placements off-campus, that too is from different streams. Some are placed some are not.
Infrastructure: Good hostel. Library, classroom and other facilities are provided, those are to be marked good. The hostel has a good warden who is strict in some sense but provides every facility, and food is good.
Faculty: Qualified staff are appointed, but still, some are friendly, and some are not. The only syllabus is covered no extra knowledge can be gained with the course. If you want to develop with your own ideas, it will be difficult, and you need to find solutions.
Other: Events and fests are conducted regularly, but the majority of the fund is divided among students itself, the management won't have anything to do a favour in terms of money.

Sree Buddha College of Engineering is a good college.
Placements: It's a good college for mechanical engineering. More than 80 students were placed from our college, including me. Students who have above 65% to 85% of marks are offered admission to our college. Reliance and Tata are the main companies which recruit students from our college, but now other companies are also recruiting. More than 80 students got internships. Our college offers good jobs.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available, but the lab is good. Classrooms are good, and the library is average. The food served in the hostel is very boring, and it is good at night. There are many types of equipment for sports and good training. I didn't see medical facilities. The food served in the canteen is also very boring but good some days.
Faculty: Teachers here are good. Semester exams of the first year are very easy, but 2nd, 3rd year and 4th year exams are very difficult. The teaching of teachers is good, but some teachers are not good. Students make themselves ready with the help of the teachers. Teachers provide good knowledge.
Other: I love mechanical engineering, so I chose it. It is a better course. Campus surroundings are good, and scholarships are offered.

Above average experience. I would recommend this college to other students.
Placements: Good in software sector. Not much opportunities for students belonging to other branches. Good number of students get placed from electronics and communication branch and computer Science engineering branch. Placements are focused on south states itself.
Infrastructure: The library is top class and good campus space available. Various fests in college are conducted at a grand level with students from various other colleges participate and win prizes. The campus is situated in a peaceful location far from the city and offers a studious atmosphere to the students.
Faculty: Knowledgeable faculty who have a good in-depth understanding of the course structure and vast understanding of the industry is teaching in this college. Students also maintain a healthy relationship with all the facilities. All of them are co-operative and clears all our doubts.
