Awesome campus with good staff. A very good infrastructure with a green ambience.
Placements: Top companies like TCS, UST Global, and Wipro hold recruitment each year. Above 75% students get placements. The average package offered is 3 LPA. Placement training is provided for every student, mock interviews, and various tests are conducted for students in the 3rd and 4th years. Overall, good placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: Each department has its own seminar Hall, labs fully air conditioned, and Wi-Fi connection available in all classrooms. Library is very spacious. Decent food, both in veg and non veg, but a little bit crowded, maintained neatly. The doctor is available once a week. Excellent sports club and activities.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and have friendly behaviour. Exams are strictly conducted. 85% above the pass percentage (CSE). Conducting two series of exams in every semester. Teachers provide good support for Seminars, assignments, and projects. The curriculum is updated and covers most of the industry requirements.
Other: Many events like Freshers Day, Ethnic Day, Arts Festival, Tech Fest, Onam, Christmas, are conducted every year.

Good college for studies.
Placements: Placement rate estimates mainly fall between 50-65%, with some optimistic claims going up to 90%. Average packages likely reside between Rs 3.5 LPA to 6 LPA. One of the recent graduates got 11 LPA package at a company. Companies include TCS, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: College of Engineering, Thalassery has 30 acres hilltop campus with smart classrooms, labs, central library, Wi-Fi, hostels, buses, and sports facilities. It also has a research incubation center and auditorium. Our college has vibrant cultural and technical activities.
Faculty: COET offers B.Tech in CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, mechanical, and civil, plus M.Tech in selected fields. Curriculum follows KTU, with experienced faculty members, smart classrooms, labs, and industry-liked projects. Active mentoring, seminars, and research support are provided.

COET Thalassery is not bad but not good. Not satisfied with the college.
Placements: Only a few students got placed in big companies. The majority of students are from computer science department. The average package of salary is only 3 LPA. The mechanical and civil engineering students are not even placed after 4 years of their hardship.
Infrastructure: Classroom facilities are good but the college campus is so small. Hostel facilities are very bad. The college hostel is the worst. Medicine facilities are there in any need. In the case of sports or games, it's good. Canteen is also good. Wi-Fi provided in the college hostel is very pathetic. Library is also not bad but not good.
Faculty: Even though the teachers have not graduated from reputed institutes, they still managed to take the class properly. They give us notes. But some of the teachers are not good. Some teachers help us to clear our doubts. The course curriculum is not relevant. Semester exams are so difficult.
Other: There are only a few fests taking place in the college. College is dull in the case of events and cultures.

The college has good facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: In the Computer Science and Engineering course, almost 80% of students got campus placements. The highest package was 11 LPA last year. The lowest is Rs. 18,000 per month. The average salary package is almost Rs. 21,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, and Wipro. Top roles offered are data analysts/business analysts or cloud & devops engineers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is overall good. There's free Wi-Fi available in the department block. Lab facilities are also good. There are multiple computer labs, like the CG/ML lab, the NOS lab, the Department lab, the project lab, etc. Each has enough systems. Classrooms are also advanced. Every classroom has a projector, and some have smart boards. The hostel is also good. Rooms are spacious and have good infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. They're also helpful. Lectures are understandable and similar to school lectures. The curriculum is not that good. The syllabus of KTU is not good for the 2019 scheme. There is a lot of unnecessary content for us to learn, which will not help us in the tech industry. Now it has developed since 2024.
Other: Computer Science and Engineering is one of the best courses apt for this generation of emerging technologies like AI. The campus life is good. There are lots of events like tech fests, art fests, celebrations, and all. The college encourages sports like cricket, kabaddi, etc.

This college is average in almost every aspect including placements, faculty, and infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are average overall. A fair number of students manage to get placed in IT and service-based companies with moderate salary packages, but core jobs and high-paying offers are limited. Internships are available but not guaranteed for everyone. The placement cell provides some guidance, though much depends on individual effort and extra skills gained outside the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is functional and manageable, but not world-class. Classrooms have the basic facilities required, the library is decent, and computer labs are available, but could be more modern. Wi-Fi works but has frequent connectivity issues. Hostel facilities are average with sufficient space and reasonable amenities, but the quality of food and maintenance can definitely be improved. Overall, the infrastructure is neither poor nor outstanding.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified and knowledgeable, though their teaching style varies a lot. Some professors explain concepts clearly and guide students well, while others sick only to the syllabus. The curriculum is decent but not updated regularly with industry needs. Exams are of average difficult and mostly theory-based, with limited focus on practical application. Students who work hard on their own can learn a lot, but overall academic experience remains average.
