 VIT Business School offers an internal full-time Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management course. The minimum period of study and research from the date of registration is 30 months for full-time research scholars. The selection of candidates for the PhD programme at VIT Business School is based on their scores in VITREE/ CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ GRE/ TOEFL along with the Research Proposal and Personal Interview. 

Master in Business Administration (MBA) with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale from a recognised university is the basic eligibility for PhD in Management offered at VIT Business School. Candidates with CA/ ICWA or equivalent qualification can also apply.

The selection of candidates for the PhD course at VIT Business School is based on their scores in VITREE/ CSIR NET/ UGC NET along with the Research Proposal and Personal Interview. For international candidates, GRE/ TOEFL scores are considered.

VIT Vellore has closed the application process for the VITREE exam. Vellore Institute of Technology Research Entrance Examination (VITREE) is conducted for admission to various Ph.D. /Direct Ph.D. and Ph.D.(Deep Technology) programmes in VIT group of Institutions. VITREE- January 2026 session intake was conducted on 7 December, 2025 in 25 cities across India. 

While applying for the VIT Business School PhD course, students are required to upload scanned copies of certain documents. The list of documents required at the time of submitting an application as well as admission at VIT Business School is given below:

VIT Business School accepts VITREE scores for PhD admissions. Thus, candidates interested in taking admission can apply for the exam. The steps to apply are as follows:

1. Go to the official website of the institute.

2. Click on the 'VITREE' under the research programmes tab.

3. Create a new candidature account using your active email ID & contact number.

4. Enter your personal, educational, and other relevant details.

5. Attach the required documents.

6. Pay the application fees of INR 1,200.

7. Submit the form.

VIT Business School Vellore is a renowned institute which offers quality education to the students. The fee structure for MBA programme is INR 7 lakh for 2 years programme. Further, the fee structure of BBA programmes is INR 1.6 lakh and PhD programme is INR 1 lakh. It is the only tuition fee for the programme. The hostel fee is not inculded in the fee structure. 

The CAT exam is always conducted on the last Sunday of November every year. As a result of which, CAT 2026 exam is expected to be conducted on Nov 30, 2026.
