Zeal college admissions are entrance based. The institute accepts the scores of various entrance examinations to offers admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes. Zeal College of Engineering and Research admission to the BE programme is made on the basis of MHT CET or JEE Main and admission in the ME programmes can be made through GATE or GPAT. For admission into B.Tech, They accept scores from both MH- CET and JEE MAINS. To get admission in the ME programme in any of the specialisation at ZCOER Pune, candidates must appear for the entrance examination. Candidates can appear either for GATE or GPAT for Zeal College ME course admission. Candidates who belong to the sponsored category must have a minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ educational/ research institute or any Government department or Government autonomous organisation in the relevant field.

The seat intake for the ME programme across all the five specialisations offered at Zeal College of Engineering and Research is 24. However, the seat intake in any of the specialisation may be subject to change depending upon the decision taken by ZCOER Pune.

Zeal College of Engineering and Research admission 2025 in the BE programme can be availed through the lateral entry. To take admission in the BE programme at Zeal College of Engineering and Research through the lateral entry, candidate must be an Indian National and must have passed three years or two years Diploma course in Engineering and Technology with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for backward class, economically weaker and PwD category candidates belonging to Maharashtra state) or candidates must have passed BSc degree examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks for backward class, economically weaker and PwD category candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only) and must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject or must have passed DVoc stream examination in the same or allied sector.
