What Does Interior Designer Do
They work with clients which can be home or business owners to plan and create functional and visually appealing indoor environments as per client’s requirements. Interior Designer Eligibility Criteria
Following are eligibility criteria for interior design courses at different levels:
- For a diploma course, students must have completed either Class 10 or Class 12 from recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. The students can be any stream.
- For BSc, BDes courses, you need to have completed Class 12 with minimum of 50%.

Only Indian citizens born on or after 1 July 2003 are eligible for admission under the General Category or the General EWS Category. Applicants born on or after 1 July 2000 in the Reserved Category (Other Backward Classes-Non-Creamy Layers (OBCNCL), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) may apply.For Indian Nationals in PwD Reserved Category: Only those candidates born on or after 1 July 1998 are eligible to apply for admission.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates may apply for the academic year 2023-24 who have passed or will appear for the higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2022–23 in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities etc.) from a recognised educational board like CBSE, IB, ICSE, or equivalent.
MDes eligibility at NID Ahmedabad is Bachelor degree of 4-year or 3-year duration from a recognised University. General category students should be born on or after July 1, 1994 to apply for the course.
