One should evaluate other options like admission in other colleges, reappearing for the competitive exam and so on before making a final decision.

The students, who have given the exam, either did not make through it or have cleared the exam with low scores than expected. In either case, they should not worry as there are many other options to achieve your dream and get ahead in life. In today’s competitive scenario, every student wants to perform better than others to have a secured future, I also gave JEE Main exam and cleared with 110 marks. Based on my experience I am sharing my views in this article for other students.

1. Dropping a year

JEE Main is one of the most important entrance exams for engineering in India. Every student's aim is to get admission in IITs. This could be a little difficult if the scores are less or below expectations. Many students think about dropping a whole year but let me tell you, this option is not as simple as one thinks. It would make a huge difference in life if one is completely prepared to reattempt the exam, otherwise, every effort would be in vain. Dropping a year or not should be decided by the student only as they have to prepare for the exam. So, if you have passion and dedication for IITs then only consider dropping a year otherwise look for other options.

2. Colleges one could get

There are many other good colleges that one could consider to get admission in BTech. In my opinion, this option is better than the previous one as in this case, there is no pressure on the student to prepare from scratch. Therefore, the students should opt for other colleges after considering various factors like campus placement, faculty, and so on.

3. Give exams for other colleges

Apart from JEE Main, there are some entrance exams conducted by some renowned colleges or state-level exams. With JEE Main, the students could also give these exams as a back-up. Some of the other entrance exams are:

a) IPU CET

b) BITSAT

c) SRMJEEE

d) KCET

Honestly, I completely understand the current situation of getting admission in your favourite, but believe me eventually the college is not the only criteria of becoming a good engineer, your skills, passion, hard work and knowledge would help in reaching your future goals. In my opinion, one should get admission in a decent college and work towards enhancing skills because these skills play a vital role in acquiring good placement. So, spend time to think about the available options and make a wise decision.
