Candidates who are going to appear for the JEE Advanced 2021 must check the exam day guidelines and advisory released by IIT Kharagpur. JEE Advanced 2021 is scheduled to be held on October 3. 

β€œCOVID-19 related protocols will be followed for JEE (Advanced) 2021 as per the Government of India guidelines in the current scenario of COVID-19 to ensure health and safety of the candidates...Adequate measures are implemented for safety of all without compromising the high standards, sanctity, and fairness in conduct of the examination. Candidates are also required to adhere to the guidelines to ensure their own safety & health and also of their fellow candidates,” an official statement said.  

The candidates are required to carry the self-declaration form and a photo id-card along with JEE Advanced 2021 Admit Card to the exam centre. If the candidates fail to produce the above-mentioned documents, they will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.  

JEE Advanced 2021: General instructions 

  • Before the start of each paper,  the  examination centres  will be properly disinfected. The entire seating area, including the monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam,  desk, and chair, will be thoroughly sanitised. 
  • Hand  sanitisers will be provided to the candidates at entry points and inside the exam centre at various places. 
  • Barcode readers will be installed at the entry point to scan the barcode on the JEE Advanced admit card.  The lab, hall or roll number will be informed to the candidate after reading the barcode.   
  • scribbling pad will be kept at each candidate's desk before the start of each  paper for rough work.   

JEE Advanced 2021: Exam day instructions 

  • Wear mask and maintain  social distancing at all times.
  • Carry your own sanitiser and a transparent bottle of water. 
  • Sanitise hands by washing with soap and with hand sanitiser before entering  the examination centre. 
  • At the time of entry, the filled-in self-declaration form on the admit card and body temperature will be checked. Test centre staff will guide the candidate to respective labs after scanning the barcode on the admit card.  
  • After the commencement of paper 2, hand over the admit card containing the duly filled and signed self-declaration form to the invigilator.   

JEE Advanced 2021 will be held in two shifts β€” 9 am to noon (Paper-1) and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm (Paper-2). Around 2.5 lakh candidates who clear JEE Main 2021 will be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced 2021.
