1) Analyze previous year papers and weightage of topics

It is very important that students analyze the previous year JEE Main papers. This will help in understanding the difficulty level of exam, questions, and most importantly, the weightage of topics over the years. Make a note of all the topics which have been repeatedly asked and give special emphasis to them while covering the syllabus. Understanding the difficulty level of questions in previous year exam will make it clear how much a student need to study.

2) Cover entire JEE Main Syllabus

To get good marks, it is must that student study the complete JEE Main syllabus. Questions are taken from almost all the topics and hence to score above 250 in JEE Main, one must cover the entire syllabus. Students should learn the basic concepts and avoid rote learning. It is advised that students solve mock tests in exam like environment, set up a three hour timer and practice in the computer.

6) Practice Time Management

Many students face issue of less time during the actual examination due to poor time management. Students must note that JEE Main paper has 90 questions, out of which 75 are to be answered in 180 minutes (3 hours) which will come to approx 2.4 minutes for every question. Some questions will require more time while a few can be solved in less time. It is advised that students solve questions of their most prepared subject first so that time can be managed properly. Also, don’t give more time to a question which you are not able to solve as it will decrease the time for other questions.
