I want to start a student group to help the students : Priyanka Kodidela

I like to attend practical classes because I find them very interesting and enjoy studying subjects like Digital Design, Object-Oriented Analysis, and Design. I am a part of the ‘SHARP’ program which is a research program where we assist our lecturers in their projects.

In 12th we all were very excited about going to college and leave school. While choosing the course I didn’t have any pressure from my parents or anybody and I am very lucky to have them as my parents. Actually, I was very interested in solving mathematics problems as I love Mathematics. So, I chose M.P.C where Mathematics is the main subject. I had a dream to get admission in IITs. I tried a lot but I was very poor in Chemistry and I didn’t even try sometimes. My chemistry teacher always scolded me for my poor performance. I was good at Mathematics but Chemistry was tough and this was the biggest hurdle for me. I gave JEE main exam but didn’t qualify. So, I gave the EAMCET exam which is a common entrance exam to get admission in colleges of Andhra Pradesh. In Rayalaseema, our college is in the best position and nearer to my native place. So, I chose this option for my graduate degree. I secured a pretty good rank in my EAMCET exam and after counseling, I got a seat in my college. Compared to all other courses, I thought Computer Science and Engineering will be suitable for me and at that time I wanted to pursue M.S. So, I thought it would be easy for me if I choose CSE. All this made me choose my college and course.

I gave many admission tests and applied for many other colleges but I was sure that I don’t want to join any college by giving a donation. For the entrance exam preparation, I went to coaching classes but later I realized that it was not enough to secure a good rank. So, I started self-preparation. I tried for VIT, GITAM, AMRITA and COMEDK exams. I cracked the EAMCET exam and went for admission in Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science College. During the admission process, I went for counseling and in my first round, I got a seat in MITS shift-2 but I wanted MITS shift -1. So, I tried again in the third round and got admission in MITS college. Our college is famous for CSE course. So, I joined the Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science.

By watching movies, I always thought that my college life will be very enjoyable and memorable. But after a year I got bored with my college and nothing seems to interest me neither the subjects nor anything else. I made new friends in college and hostel but I didn’t find a friend who will understand me better. So I always used to be alone. I like to attend practical classes because I find them very interesting and enjoy studying subjects like Digital Design, Object-Oriented Analysis, and Design. I am a part of the ‘SHARP’ program which is a research program where we assist our lecturers in their projects. I chose the Chemistry department as it seems good for practicals. If given a chance, I want to start a student group in my college which will be helpful to students whenever they have any problem in studies or in any other matter. I think this is the only thing that we don’t have in our college. My college experience has both positives and negatives. I spent most of my time at home during college. I learned how to manage all the things according to time and how to stand strong when you don’t have anyone to support you.
