1. BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test)
Overview: Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, conducts the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) to select students for admission into the undergraduate engineering courses (BE) at its three campuses located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.
Exam Pattern: The exam is held in computer-based test of 3 hours duration. Candidates will have to attempt 130 objective multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning.
Eligibility: Candidates have to pass class 12 in the year of admission at BITSAT. Also, they need 75% in total in class 12 and 60% marks in each subject of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
2. VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination)
Overview: Vellore Institute of Technology holds the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). The exam is held at the national level every year for admission to BTech courses into VIT campuses located at Bhopal, Chennai, and Amaravati. Eligible students are selected for admission according to their scores obtained in the entrance examination.
Exam Structure: VITEEE is held as a computer-based testand the exam duration is 2 hours and 30 mins. The candidates have to attempt 125 objective multiple-choice questions. The candidates get one mark for every correct answer, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Eligibility: Candidates appearing for the VITEEE 2026 paper should get atleast 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in class 12. There is also an age limit and other important eligibility details that the candidates can check on VIT's official website.
3. AEEE (Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam)
Overview: AEEE is the entrance exam for admission to 21 unique BTech programs offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University) across its 8 campuses. Eight Amrita campuses offering BTech are Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Nagercoil and Haridwar. AEEE is held twice a year. Candidates have the flexibility to appear in both or either phase.
Exam Structure: All the questions in the AEEE exam are of the Multiple-Choice type and have four options as possible. Candidates can choose the most appropriate answer for each question in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Answers marked can be changed later, before the final submission of all the answers. 3 marks are awarded for each correct answer and -1 for each wrong answer.
Eligibility: Candidates must have completed their class 12 biards with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects. The minimum marks required in the qualifying exam are 60% aggregate in these three subjects.
4. SRMJEEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination)
Overview: SRMJEEE is an annual entrance exam that is conducted nationwide to shortlist candidates for B.Tech courses at SRMIST campuses located in Chennai (Kattankulathur, Vadapalani, Ramapuram, Tiruchirappalli), Delhi NCR (Ghaziabad, UP), SRM University - Sonipat (Haryana), and SRM University, AP (Andhra Pradesh).
Exam Structure: As per the exam pattern of SRMJEEE 2026, all the questions in the test are in multiple choice nature. Since the SRMJEEE exam is held in online, remote proctored mode, candidates can take it from their homes and on their own laptops/computers. Candidates will have to install the necessary SRMJEEE safe exam browser on their system before the exam starts. The question paper will be in English only and the exam will run for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Each right answer carries 1 mark and no negative marking for the wrong answer.
Eligibility: Candidates should have completed their Class 12 boards with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. A minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying exam is required for eligibility.
5. KIITEE (KIIT Entrance Examination)
Overview: KIITEE ( Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination) is an entrance examination for KIIT, which is a deemed university. It is a common entrance test for admission to courses (except MBBS, BDS, PG Medical & PG Dental) offered by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology.
Exam Structure: KIITEE is conducted online as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). KIITEE question paper carries 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The total duration of the KIITEE exam is three hours. Each question in the KIITEE 2025 paper has four answer options. Candidates must select the one correct answer.
Eligibility: Candidates must have completed their Class 12 board exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
