Score high in SRMJEEE with these tips
By: Lakshay Saini
Currently, the best thing you can do in this quarantine life is to expand your knowledge about the concepts of chemistry and physics and you can practice more questions of mathematics.
In this article, I will give you some tips about how to score higher than other’s in SRMJEEE by preparing in the last month.
1. Correct study material
Having a correct study material and notes boost your chances of getting admitted to any college. For SRMJEEE you have to focus on basic concepts and time management of solving the exam, because the difficulty level of this exam is not tough as JEE Main, according to my experience it is more similar to your board exams. Best-known books for the preparations of SRMJEEE are-
a) Physics- H.C Verma book will surely clear your most of the concepts and NCERTs are the book you can use to practice good questions.
b) Chemistry- for chemistry section you can totally lean on NCERT books because this book does contain concepts with good explanation and some exceptional questions.
c) Mathematics - R.D Sharma along with NCERTs are the books, which have been used by the toppers of SRMJEEE.
2. High scoring areas/topics
High scoring topics are the topics which will help you in order to increase your score, but I believe that covering up all the topics is the best idea to score really (tremendous) than others. Therefore, if you do not have time to cover-up all the topics then you can use these:-
a) Physics- Work, energy and power, heat and thermodynamics, unit and measurements, oscillations and waves.
b) Chemistry- Atomic structure, electrochemistry, organic compounds containing oxygen, polymers.
c) Mathematics- Algebra, complex numbers and quadratic equations, statistics and probability.
3. Study plan/ Revision approach
Yes, I agree that you can crack this exam with ease if you had prepared for the tough ones like JEE Mains, but there is no need to be on cloud 9. You have to slightly change your study plan because for this exam you have to focus on speed, and time management. Your revision should be precise and rehearsed properly. Starting a new topic is not an option for you, as it will lead to confusion and waste crucial time. Going through your personal notes would be the best thing you can do right now. Revise the topics in a particular order, so that you can relate topics with each other.
4. Self-evaluation
Speed of solving questions, time management, basics ideas about the pattern are skills you will surely enhance if you spend your time in solving mock and sample papers. This is what I did as well. Track yourself with the help of a stopwatch and practise more and more questions because this is the only way to have an upper hand from the other aspirants.
