B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing - Batch of 2027
4.0
Satisfied as we learnt a lot of things here.
Placements: The college has 60 seats assigned for each year, and many students secure jobs if they study hard and clear the NORCET exam. Additionally, there are high opportunities for foreign placements. Internships are available exclusively within our college, and the highest starting salary for graduates ranges from 85,000 to 100,000.
Infrastructure: The hostel buildings are quite old and need to be renovated. The quality of the mess food is average—about 50/50. On the positive side, sports and games facilities are available on campus, as well as libraries. The canteen is good, and the medical facilities are quite satisfactory.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified, and the overall teaching quality is good, although there is some room for improvement. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry effectively. The exams require a minimum of 50% to pass, and CGPA results are published every semester.
Other: Since this is a professional course, there are many aspects that need attention. The campus surroundings are pleasant, and extracurricular activities are organized regularly, but scholarships are limited.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) - Batch of 2028
5.0
Life at Lady Hardinge Medical College as a medical student.
Placements: The total batch strength is 240. After the course gets completed, one has to compulsorily attend an internship of 1 year in the associated hospital which has its own stipend getting reviewed every year. After the completion, one becomes a certified MBBS doctor after which they choose to either practice or go through another entrance exam for PG exams to do their specialization.
Infrastructure: We have a newly built academic block where the lecture theatres are present with fully centralized air-conditioning. Library is open 24/7 with provisions of AC and Wi-Fi. Hostel is also available for the 1st to final year students and 1 room is allotted to 2 students. Everything is allowed except AC in the hostel rooms. The mess is also available which provides food 4 times a day, besides which other canteens are also available in the campus itself. Sports and games facilities are also there. Gym, swimming pool and various courts are also there.
Faculty: The professors are highly qualified and they teach well. They have years of experience and their teaching quality is upto the mark. The course curriculum is relevant and aligns well with the requirements of the current scenario. It makes us become better doctors. The semester exams are quite tough and the passing percentage is 50 percent minimum to be achieved in both theory and practical.
Other: I chose this course personally because I always wanted to be a doctor and to help people around me. We also host ‘splash’ the annual college fest which is inter-college and ‘cobweb’ which is also an intra-college fest. Besides that, different events are held at different points of the year. The campus crowd is also appreciable during fests. It is located in Connaught Place which is in the heart of Delhi, hence the connectivity is not really an issue. Extra-curricular activities are also held here which are undertaken by different societies.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) - Batch of 2027

I love my college and my college life. 100% placement is offered here.
Placements: I am currently a first-year, Batch 2022, MBBS student at Lady Hardinge Medical College. Also known as LHMC. It's a women's college for undergrads, and for postgrads, it is co-ed. There are 240 students in a batch. After MBBS, we go for PG. In an internship, all of us are paid INR 26,000 for a month, and in a PG, it depends on the college and the course chosen.
Infrastructure: We have provided buildings for our classes. We have assigned labs for each subject. We do have a library and a reading room that are available 24 hours a day. We have Wi-Fi only in the library. The hostel is good but needs more sanitation facilities. Mess is average, with breakfast, lunch, snacks at 4 p.m., and dinner. We have a swimming pool, a badminton court, and a gym. Obviously, we have outstanding medical facilities, as we have our own hospital.
Faculty: The teachers are highly knowledgeable. They are outstanding. And they are helping, understanding, and qualified. Yes, by the time we pass MBBS, we will be ready to treat patients. Our internship is all about that. In the first year, we have many exams, such as Term 1, Term 2, sent-ups, and the university exam—both theory and practical. Apart from this, we have regular class tests, small group discussions, self-directed learning, seminars, vivas, etc. We must score a minimum of 50% to pass the exams. The minimum attendance required for appearing in university exams is 75% in theory and 80% in practical.
Other: I always wanted to become a doctor, which is why I chose this course. We get to treat people, and there is a lot of respect for our professions in society. I just wish for a little more holidays in any course. It gets too hectic at times. Saturday should be a holiday for us. We have two festivals in our college: Splash and Cobweb. People from different colleges come here and participate in various events. The campus crowd is nice. We have good connectivity with different colleges across the country, especially in Delhi. We have academic and non-academic societies where you can pursue our hobbies.

Hardinge-the legacy and pride.
Placements: MBBS is the top course at our college in UG and is really good. All students get internships in their final year under the central government. The package is the same for all. Though hectic, the course is worth the effort. The admission is given by NEET UG, and this college comes under the top 5 UG MBBS colleges in India.
Infrastructure: The negative point is hostel doesn't have Wi-Fi and library is the only source for it. The food is okay, though better than at other institutes. The classrooms in the new building are really good; they are well equipped with AC, projectors, CCTV, and great benches.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty in all subjects are great doctors as well as great teachers. Some are better than others, but overall, all are really good. The curriculum followed is as per NMC, and semester and final exams are held by Delhi University itself.

Review of Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Almost all students get internships since they are part of the course. After their final year, students work as interns in the associated hospitals. Being at a central level, the stipend is good and higher than many other colleges in Delhi. The stipend is the same for all students, regardless of merit.
Infrastructure: Our college is a bit old, and the older building lacks good infrastructure. The new building is well equipped with almost everything we need. The hostel is also quite old. It lacks some facilities, like air conditioning.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They are helpful if students seek knowledge. The official curriculum is followed. Students are required to get the competencies signed by the end of the year. There are good teachers for all subjects.

Review of Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi.
Placements: In MBBS course, around 240 students enroll every year. Out of these, almost 15% of students are from all India, and nearly 85% of students are from the Delhi state quota. Few seats are also reserved for government nominees. After 4.5 years of MBBS course duration, one year of internship is mandatory from the respective hospitals of those colleges. Two hospitals are running under Lady Hardinge, Sucheta Kriplani Hospital, and Kalawati Saran Children's Hospital.
Infrastructure: Lecture theatres are fully centralised air-conditioned with comfortable seats. Projectors and whiteboards are available. All the essential laboratory equipment is available for teaching purposes. Wi-Fi is available. The library is available 24X7. Triple-seater hostel rooms are provided to 1st-year students. Double-seater hostel rooms are provided to 2nd and 4th-year students. Single rooms are provided for the internship students. Mess served food 4 times a day i.e., breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. Medical facilities are available 24X7 as we are living in the hospital area. It also has a badminton court. A swimming pool is available in the hostel.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified. All teachers are doctors from each department. They teach through PowerPoint presentations. The exam pattern is yearly which are called professional exams. Professional exams 1,2,3, and 4 are the major exams held in consecutive years. Terms and other minor exams will be conducted throughout the year but they are counted as internal assessments. About 50% is the minimum passing criteria for each exam. Around 75% of attendance is required for theory classes, and 80% for practical classes.
