FAQs

Q: Β  How are hostel facilities at Government College of Engineering?
A:
Talking about the hostel, the college has three hostels out of which, two for boys and one for girls. Hostel A and Hostel C are for boys and Hostel B is for girls. Hostel A and B are in the college campus but C is out of the campus. The hostel facility is not enough for all boys but for girls seats are available. Hostel allotment is done based on your performance in college like CGPA. Hostel fees are very cheap like 1650/- per year. Yes, 1650/- for per year not per month. As a Government College it is very low because everyone can afford. Hostel infrastructure is not that good as compared to other government college hostels like COEP, SGGS Nanded, VJTI, etc.
Q: Β  What is the seat intake for B.Tech at Government College of Engineering?
A:

Mostly all government colleges has only two number of seats allocated per classroom 1). 75 2).150 . Mostly general branches has 150 seats and core branches has 75 . So it depends on the specific field you choose.

Q: Β  How is mess food at Government College of Engineering?
A:
Nearly the worst. ! College mess food is bad. But you can join private mess outside of college campus. But SEE living on Mess Foods is very difficult. This is my personal experience. Each and every mess is in range of Rs.1800/- to Rs.2500/-. Quality changes as price changes. But any mess can not provide you food like your home. So, be ready for this. Happy To Help. !
Q: Β  What happens if a student fails internal exams in Government College of Engineering?
A:
Paper Marks pattern is like 15+15+10+60. ISE (Inter sem exam) or also called as Class Test (CT) which are of 15 Marks for nearly all subjects and which held twice in one sem, Teacher's Assessment of 10 Marks and End sem exam of 60 Marks. Total of 100 Marks for 1 subject. If you miss 15 marks exams then for genuine reasons you can give Re-CT exams, which held nearly 5,10 days after CT exam and then about TA 10 marks, it is given on the basis of your assignments and attendance which are of 75% compulsory. And if you miss the End sem exam then you will get D grade and you have to give Re-End sem exam which held nearly after 1 to 1 and half months after end sem exam. And if you fails to give re exam or if you unable to cover passing marks of 40 out of 100 in sum of all exams then consider your subject is back. You have to give the paper after 1 year with junior batch.
