IIM Jammu offers admission to all its courses on the basis of both, merit and entrance scores. IIM Jammu accepts national-level entrance exams. The college accepts CAT, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, JIPMAT, GATE, etc. scores for admission to its courses.

The accepted entrance exams at University of Jammu are JKCET, JEE Main, and others. The mode of University of Jammu course admissions is online. Jammu University BTech admission to various courses is based on entrance exam scores, interview rounds,  and merit. The accepted entrance exams are JKCET, JEE Main,  CUET, and others. Candidates applying through CUET must first visit the official website and register for the CUET exam. Then, appear for the CUET exam. In the next step, students must apply on the Jammu University official website with valid scores. In the next step, students must take part in the interview and various other rounds involved in the Jammu University admission.

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

Kashmir University is a public university. Accredited by NAAC A+ Grade and approved by the UGC and AIU. The university has been ranked 34 under the University category and 59 under the Overall category by the NIRF 2025.

The University was established as the Central University of Jammu and Kashmir. It was established along with 15 other Central Universities by an Act of Parliament in 2009. The University has been granted 503+ acres of land during its establishment by the state government. CUK has 21 schools and 21 constituent teaching departments. These establishments offer 40+ PG, UG, Diploma, Research, and Vocational programmes.

IHM Srinagar cutoff for 2025 admission has been released for round 1. The first round cutoff list has been released, wherein the closing rank for the B.Sc. course stood at 6139 for the general AI category students. In 2024, the first round closing rank for the same course was 8681, while in 2023, the cutoff rank stood at 9407. Upon reviewing the first round cutoff over three years, B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration at Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Srinagar displayed a downward trend.

The University has not released the 2024 placement details as of now. However, the NIRF report for the Engineering department is available, incorporating the 2023 placement statistics.
