IUST Awantipora accepts CUET UG exam scores to shortlist applicants for admission to various BA courses. Applications typically open in January and then again in July. In total, the university have two cycles of admission. It means students can apply twice annually so you don't have to wait an entire year if you miss an admission cycle. 

Admission to CU Kashmir includes merit and entrance based eligibility criteria. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12 along with valid scores in CUET UG/PG for the admission to UG and PG level courses. Furthermore, candidates must apply through the official website of the University. Shortlisted candidates must pay the fees and confirm the seat.

Kashmir University has adopted the "Student Aid Fund" scheme under which financial assistance is extended to students, particularly the meritorious students who belong to low-income groups. The Kashmir University Alumni Association also provides financial assistance to students who have a poor economic background with preference being given to students who are orphans.
