Manipal Institute of Technology, also known as MIT Manipal currently offers UG & PG courses in the stream of Engineering and Computer Applications. These courses are BTech, MTech and MCA. All the courses at MIT Manipal are offered under several specialisations. Admissions to all the programmes are conducted under the guidance of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The Institute conducts a Manipal Entrance Test MET in three phases every year for admission to all its UG & PG courses, except for MCA. In addition to this, it also accepts GATE scores for MTech programme.

According to the Acharya Institute of Technology B.E. / B.Tech Cutoff 2025, the closing rank for B.E. in Aeronautical Engineering stood at 56571 among the students belonging to the General AI quota.

For the HS quota, the cutoff rank for the same specialisation was 83862. Comparing both the quotas, the last round cutoff rank for General AI category students was more competitive for admission than the HS quota students.

In Dr. Ambedkar Institute of technology, there is a separate hostel for boys and girls. For a four-sharing hostel room, they cost around 92-94k per year with attached bathroom in it. Without attached bathroom, they cost around 83k per year. For rooms with 3 sharing, it costs nearly one Lacs per year for a student. This includes everything from food, mattress and Wi-Fi, etc.

The institute selects students based on scores in national-level examinations such as JEE Main,  CAT,  MAT,  GATE,  XAT,  CMAT, etc. Candidates need to qualify JEE Main exam to get admission to Engineering courses. Cracking JEE Main is surely not an easy task and requires complete dedication towards the study. But one thing that can make the JEE Main preparation easy is to study in a planned manner with a strategy. JEE's Main question paper is divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. All three sections are equally important, and therefore, aspirants should ensure that they cover the syllabus for all three sections.
