UIET Chandigarh accepts B.Tech admission as per JEE Main score followed by JAC Chandigarh Counseling. JAC Chandigarh 3rd round of seat allotment has been released. University Institute of Engineering and Technology is a public institute, established in 2002 and is approved by AICTE.

Placements are good, approximately 90% of students get placed. Top companies come and recruit the students. It is the top recruiting university. Yes, LM Thapar School of Management can be considered as a good college as it was started under the flagship of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (Deemed-to-be-University).
