The official statistics for Thapar University MCA placements have not been published. Neither of the highest placement figures has been published. However, according to the verified Shiksha reviews of the students and alumni of various academic years, it mentions the different the highest placement packages for MCA graduates. The students from the 2025 batch mentioned the highest placement packages of MCA graduates are INR 44 LPA and INR 22 LPA.

Not just this, it has also been rated 3.96 on Campus Life, 3.31 on Placements, 4.24 on Faculty and 3.56 on Infrastructure.

Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programmes to students. These courses are offered under the Engineering, Pharmacy, Computer Applications, Information Technology and Hotel Management streams.

Punjab College of Technical Education offers flagship programmes such as, MBA, BTech, and BSc with multiple specialisations, so that students can choose a programme of their liking. Chandigarh University offers a two-year full-time course of MCA (General). Apart from this, the university also offers MCA in two different specialisations namely, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Cloud Computing & DevOps. There are two other courses that are offered in International Tie-up Programme (ITP). These are MCA - ITP (Study in USA) and MCA - Cloud Computing and DevOps (ITP). The previously mentioned courses are taught at the Chandigarh University campus, while in ITP courses, students can study a part of their course in international universities. Scholarships are granted to students on tuition fee based on CUCET scores. 

Students should pass BCA or BSc Computer Science or BSc IT or have any graduation degree with computer Science as a course  with at least 60% marks to apply for MCA course. Students BA, BSc or BCom degree with Mathematics and allied subjects at Class 12 are eligible to apply. Admission is done basis LPUNEST score.

 For a few courses, such as MA, BA, MLib, etc., admissions are completely based on merit in the last qualifying examination. Students must go through the Panjab University CHD-conducted/ national-level entrances and then appear for the university-level selection rounds for final admission at Panjab University.

Total cost of BCom (H) programme offered by CGC University includes several charges like fee components, tuition fees, hostel charges, and one-time payment. As per the official website, total tuition fee for BCom (H) is around INR 93,000. Students who choose on-campus accommodation must pay hostel fees that depends on their room type.
