According to a 2022-2023 prospectus, Fakir Mohan University (FMU) may relax the cut-off percentage by up to 10% for students who meet minimum eligibility requirements. The university may also increase the intake capacity by up to 5% for some courses, subject to a minimum of one seat. 

• The minimum FMU cutoff for general category students for a BA (Hons) in Economics may be 84–94%. For ST category students, the minimum cutoff may be 60–70%. 
• For admission to the M.Com program, students must pass B.Com with 45% marks in aggregate. Admission is based on CPET and DHE. 

According to FMU, students are usually selected for admission through merit in the qualifying examination.

No, you cannot become a lawyer without a Law degree. You mandatorily need to obtain degrees such as BA/BCom/BSc/BBA LLB or LLB in order to be a lawyer in India. To become a lawyer, one must first complete three-year or five-year LLB from a recognised university and possess degree certificate. Then, they must enrol themselves in local Bar Council of the concerned state and enrolled as an advocate. The hostel fee structure for SOA University depends upon the number of accommodations, for double sharing with Air conditioning the fee is INR 1.20 Lacs per annum. For triple-sharing rooms with Air conditioning, the fee is INR 90,000 per annum. Siksha O Anusandhan University provides separate hostels for boys and girls with 24-hour security and Wi-Fi facilities. There are 13 boys and 11 girls hostel. The hostels also have mess facilities providing hygienic and nutritious food. The mess charges are not included in the hostel fee, candidates need to pay INR 36,000 per annum to avail of the campus mess.

CNLU has released the CLAT Round 1 Seat Allotment result for NLU Odisha for B.A. LL.B. and B.A.2 in Corporate and Commercial Law courses. The opening All India Rank for BA LLB in the CLAT R1 is 591 and the closing rank is 1080 for the General category under the Vertical Reservation. 

For the LLB course offered at NLU Odisha, the opening rank is 494 and the closing rank is 982 for the General category under Verticle Reservation. 

Yes, the KIIT School of Law is better than NLU Odisha. In terms of placement, the KIIT rate of placement in 2022 was 100%, and at NLU, 78% placed in the same year. ASBM University has not released the placement report for the year 2023. However, SBM University has concluded its placement drive for MBA batch passing out in 2022. The institute achieved 100% MBA placements for the academic year 2021-2022. As per the media reports, the the highest package offered stood at INR 10 LPA. The top recruiters of ASBM University in 2022 included HCL, Deloitte, ITC, ICICI Bank, etc.
