The field of communication has always interested me. Hence, with a little knowledge and a huge interest in becoming an anchor, I decided to pursue journalism for my graduation.

The field of communication has always interested me. During my schools days, I always wanted to be an anchor and used to mimic the television news anchors. I participated in elocutions, anchored for school events, narrated skits and performed in Nukkad Nataks and plays. I used to be a part of almost every dance program in school and inter-school competitions. I always loved to be on stage.

During my intermediate, I did not have enough knowledge about the communication field. For me, it was only about journalism. Hence, with a little knowledge and a huge interest in becoming an anchor, I decided to pursue journalism for my graduation. I wanted to stay in Lucknow and the best college option I had was Amity University, Lucknow Campus.

After joining this course, I realized that this field is not just restricted to journalism but also has a scope in various other fields like theatre, advertising, cinema production, radio, and a lot more. At the end of the three years, after exploring such a vast gamut of options in the field, I realized that I have developed more interest in advertising than journalism.

For my masters, I again took admission in Amity University, Lucknow Campus and opted for Advertising and Marketing Management. For me, Amity University had always been the 1st option and the best option, be it for my graduation or post-graduation.

Four years ago, Amity University’s procedure for admission was different than it is now. Presently, one can fill the admission form online and upload a ‘statement of purpose’ video. It has all shifted to online on the college's website. The shortlisted students would be then called for a personal interview. Earlier, the students had to go through a written test which was followed by a personal interview. The new system is better than the previous one and advanced too.

I had never applied for any other college apart from Amity University, Lucknow. It is the best private college in Lucknow with the best of facilities and such experienced faculty members.

Amity University, Lucknow campus is a place which has a lot in store for its students. You need to recognize your interest and it would be available for you to explore. I spend my time attending classes and participating in various events that are held all around the year. Graphics Designing and Public Relation are my favorite subjects. I always make sure that I don’t miss them. In the Graphic Design class, we are taught various software like CorelDraw, Photoshop, and Indesign. It is so interesting to learn and I enjoy these classes.

I am a person who participates in various events, all the year around. I have participated in extracurricular actives like relay races, kho-kho, creative writing competitions, dance events, annual cultural fest Amiphoria, and Research Presentation competition and many more. If given a chance, I would love to represent my college at inter-college events related to research projects.

Amity has helped me transform into a self-dependent person. It has not only helped me to develop my skills but at the same time has helped me to recognize my talents and nurture them in all these years. It has given me opportunities to learn from trial and error and become a confident person. It has also taught me to be vocal about my opinions. Value-added courses like Behavioral Science has helped me to be more humane, sensitive and aware about myself and the society while Communication Skills subject has helped me to learn about professionalism.
