The present campus is at Silicon Institute of Technology, Sason, Sambalpur, Odisha, spread across a land that measures over 237 acres. The activities at IIM Sambalpur are coordinated by Prof. Pawan Kumar Singh – he is one of the senior most faculties at IIM Indore.

Talking about the educational programme, the institute offers Post Graduate Programme in Management. The curriculum followed at IIM Sambalpur is same as the PGP curriculum that is followed at IIM Indore. Spreading education at IIM Sambalpur is the faculty from IIM Indore or educationists with equally good qualification. The first batch at IIM Sambalpur commenced in September 2015.

The PGP (2015–17) batch commenced last year in 2015 with 49 students. The tuition fee at IIM Sambalpur will be Rs 10 lakhs for two years. Other charges like hostel, caution money and mess are additional. In case a candidate does not join the institute, Rs 1000 will be retained as per the GOI guidelines.

IIM Sambalpur’s hostel is in proximity to the classrooms, and within the premises of Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur. The rooms are spacious, well-ventilated and comprise of sufficient furniture.
