Sports competitions and tournaments are also conducted thrice a year. I also participate in these tournaments. At times, the faculty members also participate in various music, dance, and drama competitions along with the students.

During my graduation days, I started a small quality circle for a vehicle manufacturing and racing competitions. With the support of a few colleagues, we managed and led our team towards success. The whole process triggered the idea of making my future in management. I had a hands-on entrepreneurial experience in my family business. This experience gave me practical knowledge about the management field in real life. This grew my hunger for advanced learning of the management sector in a business school.

Managing local sponsors, gaining experience in sales marketing, managing a team, and learning governance boosted my interest in the management sector. IMT Nagpur follows a case-based approach in its courses, and also it has a student-driven campus that gives you an upper hand in learning management practically. This was the differentiating factor for this business school as compared to others.

I joined IMS coaching classes in Pune, Maharashtra. The reason to select this institute was that it provides life coaching until an aspirant finds the best B-school that he or she desires. The faculty and the test series helped me to prepare for the entrance exams. However, in the first year, I could not get into a decent business school. So, I gave it another try by waiting a year. Finally, I got a decent score and I started preparing for group discussions and personal interview rounds. The focus and smart learning not only helped me in achieving a good score and percentile but also helped in building my personality. This attracted the judging panel during the admission process. I was aspiring for the Goa Institute of Management, Goa, and IIMs. But I couldn’t qualify as my score was marginally less. However, Institute Of Management Technology, Nagpur was the best option I received. The brand name, rich business learning environment and opportunities were some of the factors that attracted me.

A day at IMT Nagpur is an amazing experience in itself. The lectures begin at 9:30 am and ends at 5:15 pm.  In between, there is a lunch break and occasionally an extra one hour break is also granted in the day. The college makes sure that the students are busy with learning. After 5:30 pm, campus life starts. There are almost all kinds of sports available for the students. The 27-acres lush green campus works as a breath of fresh air after a long tiring day. The college provides students with a nice coffee and a brunch at 5:30 pm every day. I go out to play football at 6:30 pm. At 8 pm, I take a nap and have my dinner at around 9:30 pm.

At night, we complete our daily assignments and revise our lessons. We have been divided into academic groups to conduct group discussions or complete our group projects. Almost every week, the student bodies organize at least two events. Sometimes I work as a member of the organizing team or participate in the events. Most of the events are related to academic learning and the others are generally festive celebrations. Green Diwali, Milestone 35, Melange are a few of the non-academic events that I enjoy the most. I am a part of 3 committees and forums.

Sports competitions and tournaments are also conducted thrice a year. I also participate in these tournaments. At times, the faculty members also participate in various music, dance, and drama competitions along with the students. With such a busy and fun schedule, I can relate to the informal motto 'IMT Never Sleeps' famous in the college. The college routine helps my mind to stay active and challenge the hustle and bustle of the corporate world.
