The admission process at JIMS Kalkaji was quick and smooth consisting of GD/PI, says Anmol
I was an average student and was always a little confused regarding my career decisions. I still remember that in Class 11, I opted for Commerce stream as one of my younger brothers made me realize the scope of it. I was not very sure of the decision but somehow took it and decided to go ahead with it. Today I see it as the best decision due to which I got admission into one of the best universities across India, Delhi University (DU). After scoring 90% in Class 12, I was having a lot of good options to pursue my graduation from. I decided to go to Delhi university as I was fascinated by college life, fests, events, etc. The college was near my home and I heard that faculties were very supportive with in-depth knowledge of the subject. After graduation, I decided on my further studies and came across many B-Schools of Delhi. After visiting campus and talking with the management, I decided to take admission into JIMS Kalkaji - Jagannath International Management School. Placements were quite attractive and even the faculties were supportive and this was the best decision I made as I am now placed with Aon.
As I got to know about the entrance for admission, I started preparing for it. Although it was way back, I prepared for entrance in graduation days, preparing again was difficult but I managed to study at home. I gave my first attempt of MAT and was able to score well in 2019. Luckily, I got the call regarding admission and was asked to visit the campus for further admission formalities. As a part of the admission process, there was a short interview conducted which went well and a week later I got the confirmation for the admission. The process was quick and smooth. I was asked about current affairs, business world updates and even sports. Though I had taken help from the internet as Google became the most convenient teacher during the times of 2020 in which I took admission. I was comfortable during the entire journey of joining the campus and then also found the institute to be fair to one and all not only me.

For admission, I got a call from NDIM and Jaipuria Institute of Management. I chose JIMS over these institutes, as it was the best option available to me. Also that a few friends of mine in the past had also given a positive feedback.
The time in the college was nice as it was for a very short period of time that I went. Initially, during the first trimester, everything was online. This was learning and a point of being upset too. Though digital learning was a phase I soon got used to but the fact that I couldn’t go to physical colleges was a point that put me off. Well, the canteen was the favorite spot when UGC and AICTE allowed colleges to open for students. Our usual and social get together used to take place in canteen. The canteen is big for students so our birthday celebrations that made our social cohesion agile took place there only.

I really liked the classes of marketing in the campus as I was interactive and had been into network marketing already. The subjects of consumer behavior and advertising management really helped me a lot to enhance my knowledge to clear interviews for the corporate world. Though I was a favorite to almost all faculty members I had joined entrepreneurial club, NSS club also. Apart from learning to organize various events in both online and offline mode I remember the visit to old age home most profoundly. The feeling of visiting there gave me much of emotional fulfillment.
However, given a chance to re-do my PGDM I will like to take classes of Communication taught by Professor Jyoti in the offline mode as those were most interesting. She taught us various important and popular pronunciations. The classes of presentations also that she took are very important as Covid will not continue as long as my career so being independent in my professional skills set is very important. Now, that I am selected with Aon and Exide I am really excited and grateful to God as despite these dire times of pandemic I am placed well at the package of INR 8 LPA.
