• Only those students who have studied in State Agricultural Universities (SAUs)/ Colleges affiliated to SAUs/ Central Agricultural Universities (CAUs)/ ICAR Deemed Universities/ Central Universities with Agriculture Faculty registered by ICAR/ any other institutions accredited by NAEAB (ICAR) unaccompanied are suitable for admission to TNAU for Masters programmes.
• Apart from this, a candidate who has experienced a course credit system with a least OGPA of 3 out of 4 or 6.6 out of 10 in a bachelor’s degree programme can apply for a master’s programme. However, for SC/ST candidates, minimum OGPA of 6.5 out of 10 in a bachelor’s degree is sufficient.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has not released the 2023 placement report or brochure. However, the NIRF report 2023 is out. According to the report,  154 UG (4-year) and 72 PG (2-year) students were placed during 2022 placements. The median package offered to UG (4-year) and PG (2-year) students was INR 3.62 LPA and INR 5.32 LPA, respectively. Shrishti BioScience, Mahindra and Mahindra, IDFC Bank, and many other leading companies participated in recent TNAU placement sessions.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Application Process is conducted online for all the courses. Online application is a compulsion for TNAU Counselling, entrance exam and admission. Candidates are required to follow the step-by-step process as follows for the PG and PhD courses:

Step one: Visit the visit the official website.

Step two: Click on the Apply Now button against the PG or PhD course.

Step three: Register by filling in the required details. Provide the correct mobile number and email ID.

Step four: Once the ID and password are generated fill out the online application form.

Step five: Pay the application fee.

Step six: Upload scanned documents.

Step seven: Recheck and submit the form.

The eligibility criteria for admission to all the undergraduate and postgraduate programme is different at TNAU. As per the basic eligibility criteria for admission to UG programmes, the candidates must have qualified class 12 or equivalent exam with a minimum of fifty percent aggregate.
