No, you cannot become a lawyer without a Law degree. You mandatorily need to obtain degrees such as BA/BCom/BSc/BBA LLB or LLB in order to be a lawyer in India. To become a lawyer, one must first complete three-year or five-year LLB from a recognised university and possess degree certificate. Then, they must enrol themselves in local Bar Council of the concerned state and enrolled as an advocate. Within two years of the enrolment, they must appear and clear AIBE in order to be eligible to practise anywhere in India. 

The slot booking window for the LPU NEST 2026 can be done three days before the exam. The last date to book the slot will be announced soon. The candidates should make sure that the slots are booked before the exam date. The exam slots are allotted based on availability.

LPU provides scholarships to students pursuing a course from the university. The university offers scholarships based on Class 10, Class 12, graduation scores, lateral entry programmes, based on LPUNEST, etc. Below is the bracket-wise scholarship criteria:

Candidates who have completed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and English or equivalent as compulsory subjects from a recognised board with a minimum of 60% aggregate can apply for BTech at Lovely Professional University (Admission Office). Aspirants need to pass Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology and English or equivalent as compulsory subjects from a recognised board with a minimum of 60% aggregate for BTech Biotechnology, Food Tech and Biomedical.

Candidates have to pay an application fees for a course. The exam fee for LPUNEST (soft copy of LPUNEST KIT) is INR 1,000 for males and INR 500 for females. The printed LPUNEST Kit is INR 1,500 for boys and INR 1,000 for girls.

Lovely Professional University (Admission Office) offers admission to candidates based on their scores in entrance exam. The university conducts LPU NEST to shortlist candidates for UG and PG courses. Selected candidates have to participate in the counselling rounds to get a seat in the university.
