Tamil Nadu AYUSH 2025 Counselling Dates

The TN AYUSH counselling 2025 facilitates merit-based seat allotment through an online process, including document verification, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting. It applies both to government and private AYUSH colleges throughout the state, wherein 85% of government seats and all private seats come under the control of the Directorate of Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy, Chennai, whereas 15% of government seats are allocated by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC).
Tamil Nadu Counselling AYUSH courses abide by standards set by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), which maintain quality and standardised education in Indian traditional medical systems.

To be eligible for Tamil Nadu AYUSH counselling, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• He/She must have qualified for the NEET UG 2025 examination.
• Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects from a recognised board.
• Meet the minimum qualifying NEET percentile as set by the authorities for AYUSH courses.
• Be an Indian citizen and fulfil domicile requirements as prescribed by the Tamil Nadu government rules for state quota seats.
• Candidates should satisfy any other criteria specified in the official counselling brochure released by the Directorate of Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy, Chennai.

The standard TN AYUSH 2025 process for counseling included nearly all of the steps listed below: 

1. NEET UG Result Announcement: The Tamil Nadu AYUSH counseling process begins after the announcement of the NEET UG result. This is for the NEET undergraduate exam for AYUSH seats, which takes place on June 14, 2025.
2. Tamil Nadu AYUSH Registration: Eligible Candidates will need to register on either the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Medical Education website or any other website designated by Tamil Nadu during the allocation of a registration window.
3. Documentation Verification: Candidates will provide or upload documentation depending on whether documents were required. Candidates will then verify documents either using online verification or by producing documents to the relevant centres.
4. Choice making and Choice locking: After verification of documents, candidates will then fill in their choices of colleges and courses depending upon available choices.
5. Seat Allocation: The Directorate of Medical Education will use the choices filled in by the candidate in association with merit (ranks) and reservation (available seats) to produce the allotment for the candidate with the appropriate number of rounds as produced.
6. Reporting: Candidates will be required to report to their allotted college and then proceed with the normal admission protocols by the last date nominated.

Candidates who failed to get a seat or wish to upgrade a seat will be invited to take part in the next round, or mop-up round. Overall, it is a step-by-step process to guarantee a merit-based seat allocation process that maximizes transparency to all AYUSH course allotment across Tamil Nadu.

Candidates applying for Tamil Nadu AYUSH Counselling must prepare and submit the following documents during verification:

• NEET UG 2025 Admit Card
• NEET UG 2025 Rank Card/Scorecard
• 10th Standard Marksheet/Birth Certificate (for Date of Birth proof)
• 12th Standard Marksheet/Passing Certificate (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, English)
• Transfer Certificate (previous institution)
• Community Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) if applicable
• Nativity Certificate or Domicile Certificate (for Tamil Nadu candidates)
• Disability Certificate (if applicable)
• Passport size photographs as per prescribed format
• Any other documents mentioned by the counselling authority in the official notification

Candidates must ensure the documents are original and also keep photocopies for submission during counselling rounds.

The merit list for Tamil Nadu AYUSH counseling 2025 is prepared based solely on NEET UG marks. The Directorate of Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy, Chennai, publishes the merit list. Candidates are listed according to their NEET rank, as well as eligibility for different AYUSH courses. There may be merit lists for different categories or courses.

Only candidates who received a score on the NEET UG and have met the Tamil Nadu counseling eligibility criteria would be included in the merit list. The merit list will be the basis for the allocation of seats for online counseling rounds and will be uploaded on the Tamil Nadu health department's official website for candidates to view.
