IPMAT exam date 2026 has been released officially. The IPMAT Indore 2026 exam will be conducted on May 4, 2026, in the afternoon shift. The exam conducting authorities have only announced the IPMAT exam date yet. IIM Indore conducts the IPMAT exam for admission to the integrated management programme. IPMAT registration 2026 will begin in the second week of February 2026, tentatively. Aspiring candidates will be able to register for the exam online through their email ID and mobile number. IPMAT Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfil the IPMAT eligibility criteria given below in order to appear for the IPMAT exam:

  • Applicants must have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10 and Class 12 or equivalent CGPA in the case of the General and NC OBC categories.
  • Applicants belonging to SC, ST or PwD (DA) categories must have secured at least 55% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in Class 10 and Class 12.
  • Applicants must have passed the qualifying exam in the years 2024, and 2025 or appearing in 2026.
  • Applicants in the final year of Class 12 or awaiting the results are also eligible to apply provisionally.
Q:   Is there an age limit in the IPMAT exam?
A:

Yes, there is maximum age limit to appear for the IPMAT exam. The students appearing for the IPMAT exam must be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, 2024. The IPMAT exam is open to students who have recently passed Class 12 or are still awating the Class 12 results. IPMAT is conducted by IIM Indore and is accepted by some of the top institutes such as IIM Indore, IIFT, Nirma University, IIM Ranchi, Alliance University, NICMAR and NALSAR University. Any candidate who has scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of the General and NC-OBC categories is eligible to apply for the IPMAT exam. 

Q:   Is there a scholarship through IPMAT?
A:

Yes, IIM Indore extends financial aid to the aspirants in need of financial assistance. The institute offers a Need Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) scholarship to ensure that no aspirant is deprived of education at the institute for financial reasons. All participants admitted to the Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), PGP HRM (PGPH) and Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) with annual family income below INR 9,00,000 are eligible to apply for this scholarship. All the students who have applied through the EWS quota but have secured the seat through general or any other quota can also apply for NBFA. Any participant who have applied through SC, ST, OBC or physically handicapped quota and fall within the above eligibility criteria can also apply for the NBFA.

Q:   Can I appear for IPMAT more than once?
A:

No, IPMAT is conducted only once a year. Candidates have to wait for the next session if they miss this year's exam. The IPMAT exam is being conducted in the CBT (computer-based test) mode. Based on the IPM Aptitude Test scores, students can apply for admission to integrated management programme offered by the prestigious Indian Institute of Managment, Indore. The exam will only be conducted in the computer-based test mode for all the sessions across various cities. The difficulty level of the IPMAT exam is usually moderate and the candidates can easily prepare for this exam. Candidates who wish to appear for the IPMAT exam need to apply on the official website of IIM Indore and fill out the IPMAT application form once the application window opens. IPMAT is held in about 28 test cities across the country, and the students need to visit the exam centre in order to take the exam.
