IPMAT registration 2025 is expected to begin soon. Candidates who are interested in the IPM programme at IIM Indore can register online on the official website- iimidr.ac.in. The IPMAT Indore application form will be available online and there will be no offline process for registration. 

Candidates must check the IPMAT eligibility criteria before filling out the IPMAT application form. The IIM Indore IPM eligibility criteria is the requirements to be fulfilled by the candidates to appear for the IPMAT exam. Colleges accepting the IPMAT scores consider the IPMAT exam eligibility criteria which is decided by IIM Indore. IPMAT 2025 is scheduled to be conducted on May 12, 2025, in the computer-based test mode. IPMAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

As mentioned before, the students must fulfil the below-mentioned IPMAT Indore eligibility criteria in order to appear for the IPMAT exam:

  • Students must have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10 and Class 12 or equivalent CGPA in the case of the General and NC OBC categories.
  • Students belonging to SC, ST or PwD (DA) categories must have secured at least 55% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in Class 10 and Class 12.
  • Students must have passed the qualifying exam in the years 2023, 2024 or appearing in 2025.
  • Students awaiting the Class 12 board results are also eligible to apply provisionally.

IPMAT Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals

IIM Indore also mentions the IPM eligibility criteria for international applicants. The following is the criteria:

  • Applicants must have passed the qualifying exam in the years 2023, 2024 or appearing in 2025.
  • Applicant must have secured at least 1300 out of 1600 in SAT from November 1, 2023, to June 30, 2025.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of HSc can also apply provisionally. 

IPMAT Indore: Age Limit

IIM Indore sets the age criteria for the candidates who are planning to appear for the IPMAT exam. The age limit is as follows:

  • Candidates belonging to the General or NC OBC category must not be more than 20 years of age as of July 31, 2025, at the time of filling out the IPMAT application form 2025.
  • The candidate's age should not be more than 22 years as of July 31, 2025, of those belonging to SC, ST, PwD (DA) categories.
  • Candidates belonging to the Foreign Nationals category must have been born on or after August 1, 2005.

Q:   Can I write IPMAT exam after 12th?
A:

The eligibility criteria for IPMAT is as follows:

  • Students belonging to the General or NC OBC category must not be more than 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026, at the time of filling the IPMAT application form 2026. The age should not be more than 22 years as of July 31, 2026, for the applicants belonging to SC, ST, PwD (DA) categories. Candidates belonging to the Foreign Nationals category must have been born on or after August 1, 2006. 
  • Students must have completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board or institution. 
  • General and Non-Creamy Other Backwards Classes (NC-OBC) category students should have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Class 10 and Class 12 standard examinations. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PWD) categories, a minimum of 55% aggregate marks is required.
Q:   Can I appear for IPMAT more than once?
A:

No, IPMAT is conducted only once a year. Candidates have to wait for the next session if they miss this year's exam. The IPMAT exam is being conducted in the CBT (computer-based test) mode. Based on the IPM Aptitude Test scores, students can apply for admission to integrated management programme offered by the prestigious Indian Institute of Managment, Indore. The exam will only be conducted in the computer-based test mode for all the sessions across various cities. The difficulty level of the IPMAT exam is usually moderate and the candidates can easily prepare for this exam. Candidates who wish to appear for the IPMAT exam need to apply on the official website of IIM Indore and fill out the IPMAT application form once the application window opens. IPMAT is held in about 28 test cities across the country, and the students need to visit the exam centre in order to take the exam.

Q:   Is it possible to crack the IPM entrance exam in 2 to 2.5 months after completing our board exams?
A:

Yes, but one can clear the IPM entrance exam right after the boards. It usually takes 2 to 2.5 months for preparation once the board results are out, if done effectively. The whole process of entrance examination is segregated into sections- quantitative ability, logical reasoning, verbal ability, and general knowledge.
