There is no age criteria or limit to appear for the SET exam 2026. However, students should have completed Class 12 or awaiting Class 12 results to be eligible to appear for SET 2026. 

Students domiciled in Nagpur for five years or more will have a 25% seat reservation in Symbiosis colleges. They must have completed Class 12 or equivalent from the Maharashtra Board. They need to carry the documents listed below at the time of Personal Interview and WAT rounds: 

• Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority
• Class 12 mark sheet of Maharashtra Board
• Students appearing for Class 12 boards are also eligible provided they submit a Bonafide certificate from the current institute along with a Class 10 mark sheet

The SET exam application fee 2026 can only be paid through online fee payment methods or Demand Draft.

1. Online Payment: The preferred mode of payment for the SET exam application fee is usually online payment, which can be done through Internet banking, debit card, or credit card, UPI or other banking wallets. Students can make the payment using the secure online payment gateway provided on the official website of the SET exam.

2. Demand Draft (DD): The students applying for the SET exam also have the option of paying the SET exam application fee through a Demand Draft (DD). They need to draw a Demand Draft from a nationalised bank in favor of the "Symbiosis Test Secretariat" payable at Pune. They will need to enter the DD details during the application process and submit the physical DD along with the application form to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat at:

Please note: 25% of seats in all the SIU institutes are reserved for students of Nagpur domicile.

Academic eligibility criteria for SET 2026 for the Differently Abled Candidates (DAC) is the same as other candidates. However, SIU has made a provision of reserving 3% of seats for DAC candidates in all programmes offered across different Symbiosis colleges. 

But, students have to acquire an 'Authentication Certificate', which will be authenticated by the Medical Board of Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre (SUHRC). Students' eligibility will be certified under the DA category once the certificate is authenticated and found to be correct. 

Students applying for SET exam 2026, should avoid the following mistakes:

• Use plain white background for the photograph
• Do not upload blurred photograph
• Upload the documents in the prescribed size and format
• Use correct and valid details when filling the application form
• Use a working email ID and mobile number as all the communication regarding the SET exam will be done on these

The Symbiosis Entrance Test process is completely online and this includes application form filling and application fee payment. Students can pay the SET application fee by the following modes:

SET application form 2026 was released online on December 12, 2025. The SET exam 2026 application form last date is April 15, 2026. The application fee window will also close on the same day. 

SET exam date 2026 has been released along with the commencement of SET 2026 registrations. SET exam will be conducted on two days, i.e. 

• May 2, 2026
• May 10, 2026

The exam will be conducted in the computer based test mode across 80 test cities in the country. 

• The aspirant must have cleared Class 12 or equivalent examinations in the relevant streams from a recognised board or university with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST category students).
• Candidates in Class 12 or awaiting their Class 12 results are also eligible to apply but they will have to submit a passing certificate.
• A candidate who has completed Class 12 or equivalent examination from any Foreign Board must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

• Students applying for the SET test have to pay the non refundable and non transferable application fee online
• Additionally, students have to pay INR 1000 as the institute fee to complete the SET registration process 
• SET exam 2026 application form will be accepted only when the students have paid the application fee
• An email and SMS will be sent to the student's registered email ID and phone number on successful completion of Part I of the Symbiosis SET 2026 application form, hence, students must use a valid mobile number and email ID. 
• Students should upload a passport sized photograph which is not older than four months
• SET exam centre will be allotted on first come first served basis
