CBSE board exams 2026 have sparked debate over difficulty levels in class 10 Maths and 12 Physics papers, with students demanding grace marks and liberal checking. However, the board has not issued any official statement yet. Check updates.
CBSE Board Exam 2026: After recent class 10th and 12th board exams, many students and parents raised concerns about CBSE's difficulty level of some question papers. Discussions started on social media, in schools and in coaching centres. They are now requesting CBSE to give grace marks and follow liberal checking for the tougher sets. So far, CBSE has not released any official notice about giving grace marks or moderation. Students are waiting for clarity.
The issue regarding CBSE grace marking began after class 10 Mathematics exam. Some students said one set was easy, while others claimed a few questions were as difficult as the JEE Main and Advanced level. Soon after, CBSE Class 12 Physics exam also came under criticism. Many teachers said difficulty level was not the same across different sets.
PIL Against CBSE Regarding Uneven Difficulty Level in Question Papers
With this, Educator Prashant Kirad plans to file a Public Interest Litigation against CBSE, alleging that the board failed to maintain a standard exam difficulty level across multiple sets. Waiting for response from CBSE, the educator claims that the board discriminated against students through question papers where the exam's difficulty level depended on their region.
